Same here. Thought he played very well last night. Must be his skating they're working on because he did not look out of place at all

So when is Thornton back?
Out January 20th with a broken rib... 2-3 more weeks?

He’s known to be aggressive and being smart about it...definitely showed it on the Hyman goal.
And his PP QB skills are good.
Keep him in the lineup.
Send Dermott to CGY.

Think they said 4 weeks when the injury happened.
They both were skating and shooting pucks last Monday.

Leafs don't need Bennett. He upgrades nothing. - gergeswillems
Applaud that one. Might as well get Freddy Goat dressed first. Cost a lot less too.

As long as it's not Bennett coming back, I'd approve. I know, cap has to work too.

I like Bennett.
Dermott is a 3rd pairing D that hasn’t gotten better since game 1 in his rookie season, with the slight potential of getting better.
Bennett is a bottom 6 forward who also hasn’t gotten better than his game 1 in his rookie season, with the slight potential of getting better.
Oh and playoff Bennet>>>>>>>>>>>playoff Dermott

Basically, we are down to tinkering with a few of the lower spots in the lineup. I say that Kyle checks a few more options around the league if he wants to move Dermott. Looking at the Canucks and their D for starters, I dare say there might be some smoke there.
Can't say I've watched Bennett enough to see his top end potential, but I don't think we need another project on our hands at this stage of the season. We've already got one with Veysey.
I hope Fridge is wrong.
