The bottom 6 (minus Virtanen and Gadette ) has been the only bright spot other than Hog. Do Miller And Hughes deserve to sit? Maybe, but we can’t win without them as we don’t have enough depth so they will always play
- CanuckDon

It's the only reason hughes hasn't sat. Who comes in for him, juolevi? Rathbone, a broken hamonic. I am fine with gaudette and virtanen sitting, they have been bad, I just don't think they have been any less or more bad than 3/4 of the other roster who will probably never even be threatened to hit the press box.

Look how low we have sunk with our lives. We are arguing over which worthless trash deserves to sit more. Shame

Wtf are you taking about Codes? You think Virtanen and Gaudette should be playing? Happy Saturday but smoke less crack
- CanuckDon

Virtanen and Gaudette should be in Utica on a conditioning stint to make room for Baertchi.

Hughes hasnt been very good defensively, but he drives the offence more anyone and has since game one.
- neem55

100% agree. But at what point do you hold him to a higher defensive standard. The team has let in 55 goals in 14 games, he's minus 10 and has played awful in his own zone. I guess I'm just of the mentality that no player should be exempt from poor play.

Thanks Carol

I don't understand why Benning is allowing Green to ruin a few more of his promising draft picks by playing them with Sutter.

- manvanfan

Sutter has a hatty now.

Big.

Sutter and Pearson score a few goals and people forgive/forget the fact that they have been equally as bad as everyone else.

As far as I'm concerned, if you're name isn't hoglander, benn, macewen, horvat, schmidt and boeser, you should be sitting for how poorly you have played/tried as of late

- Codes1087

So punish a guy who has been playing hard and put him with Sutter? That sounds like a Green thing to do.

Brandon Sutter has points in 2 of 14 games this season. At least Pearson has scored in 6 of 14.

I believe the Canucks are close to competing for the Stanley Cup, I think the weak link Is Travis Green.

Hoglander should be getting the most forward minutes aside with horvat. Good play and work ethic should be rewarded, instead he gets put on a line with suttsy lol.

That's what i'm saying. Horvat Pearson Hogz is usually the best line on most nights.

You're right, motte probably slides into the top 6 with hoglander moving down to the 4th line by the 2nd period

Green isn’t afraid to give young players that are playing well significant opportunities. He converted Elias into a center and immediately put Hog on line two. He trusts Hog and he will play most of his minutes in the top 6 tonight.

I actually don't hate green as much as the green haters do. I like how he constructs his lines for thr most part, and how he gives opportunities, like you said. I dont care for his deployments, or how many minutes he gives to his bottom 6 in comparison with the rest of the league, but it is what it is.

Hoglander is a bright light on what has been a mediocre-bad beginning to the season, seeing him moved to the 3rd line for LE, where line 2 has actually been the most consistent line all year seems silly to me is all.

Marc Savard was praising Green for when they played them in the playoffs last year. Thinks it's all on the players.

2-1 Canucks in a much more structured game.

Benning needs to make a hockey trade or two. Get some players that fit Green's system better.

You got it wrong.
Hoglander is being placed on the 3rd line to get them going.
It's a vote of confidence!
