I don't think their d will ever be a top 3 d in the NHL. They are limiting chances at an above average rate, and limiting overall l shots at an elite rate. We fixate when a D gets beat by a forward, but that happens every game to every team.

Overall the Leafs are losing d coverage no more than the top half of the league.

I share your opinion.. Andersen needs to be better.. I don't really blame him on any of the goals.. Yeah, he could've been in a better position on the second goal against, but most good players will score from there when given a chance like that.

I have yet to see Andersen steal a win for the Leafs this year.. It's only 11 games so he has time to improve.. We need more consistency from him.

The Leafs haven't needed Freddy to be good.

There will come a time where the Leafs are off their games and that is when we need Freddy to be on.

Or when we face good teams like MTL or if they make the Conference finals/Cup finals.

But for now? Freddy is good enough to beat EDM, WPG, CGY, OTT

Any time Freddy does his job and makes a handful of saves it means he stole the game.

Any time he plays bad its not his fault.

5M a year to have these expectations? Meanwhile poor Kerfoot gets batted around for looking at a ref at 3.5M.
