IMO that too much to send to CBJ --- Saves us 1.0 mil in cap space & BJ > AK

Me... I say no... CBJ just fleeced Winnipeg.. No need to fleece us too

(1) Poorly positioned after lockout
(2) Poorly managed after lockout
(3) Evolving role had left poor prospect pool.

. . .there's something funny in that is the definition of how you play good defense in hockey. For those of us older than 25, defense was for big bodies, and guys who could bang, cross-check and pin and outmuscle anything that came within grabbing distance - and if you could hook it with your stick and pull it within grabbing distance, you could pin and cross-check what you'd hauled in. Mobility was for defensemen who were out of position! Those were the type of defensemen who ate Nikolai Borschevsky's spleen as a snack!

It's the most evolved position, I find. Now mobility is the key. We've moved more towards stick checks, positional intelligence and gap control as a way to better define the position. The guys who bang and pin have their uses, but typically as a third pairing option. I think last year that Dubas and co went too far in their puck moving mentality and really didn't give enough thought on who was going to get the puck from someone else.

I like how this year instead of keeping possession at all costs ( short passes in your own zone to guys standing still ) they’re saying fuxk it and dumping it in rather then lose it close to our own net.

Aren’t they still doing a fair bit of that. They’re still near the top of the league 8n puck possession which means leaving our zone with the puck

Best wishes to your granddaughter and entire family Bixie!

It's truly amazing what the neuroplasticity of the brain is capable of, especially for young children. My nephew went through some similar stuff. Saying a prayer for your family. ✨🙏

I think they intend to retain possession as much as possible still, but are employing a level of objectivity in the decision making process. I think with a more veteran presence on the back-end, or reliable veteran presence at any rate, there's more trust in their recognition of when to retain and when to chip it out.

Yea. Last year it seemed they were trying to hang onto it regardless of position on the ice and this year it’s hang onto it but not if it costs possession in dangerous areas. JMO

Hisense and TCL are not poop brands at all. In a lot of cases they are better then Samsung equivelent TVs, but not the higher end ones.

Hisense is owned by Sony for what its worth.
