I like his game

Canucks prospects look better than St.L prospects.

- VANTEL

Yeah they do. STL has I think 5 players playing over in Europe though.

Lind first star of the game.

For sure. They were lucky to pull it out at the end.

I bet if Markstrom Tanev or Toffoli had asked for the same money they got but for two years they would be a Canuck today. Hard for people to get past they were not part of a long term plan.

Woo took a big hit near the end of the game. He even just turned 20, 7 months ago.

He gave a big hit in the first. He had a decent game IMO. Did you think he looked ok?

He looked a bit nervous in the first but seemed to get steadier throughout the game it seemed.

Kind of nice that there isn't a lot of vets because Jasek, Lockwood, Woo all got special teams time.

It is a very good year to develop. I was surprised to see the growth in Lind but as I said to Don it is hard to gauge it against anything other than the two teams you play all year.

Mostly about getting practice reps really but in game situations really.

I still don't know if Lind is a center in the NHL. I think he's like Motte where he will move over to the wing. Great for his game to learn to play down low as a center and through the middle of the ice but I don't know if he has that quality to be a regular NHL center. He's got an 24 game plus playoffs to work on it though without being pushed aside because neither team has any good centers.

I think he is going to be Roussels replacement

Most likely, but with a bit more offence. So will be a left winger then? He did score both of his goals from the left side the same spot today. Right shot though, so his stick is going the wrong way along the boards if he does.

Leafs 2013 3rd round pick Carter Verhaeghe now playing for Florida after being on the Islanders and Tampa Bay farm teams.

7 goals in 9 games this year. 25 years old.

Any half decent product that TB puts on waivers, Van should be plucking up.

Perhaps the Ts asked for more money from the Canucks and as the market softened they realized that they might get left in the Covid darkness, the Flames and Canadians make them a take it out leave it offer, out of fear of an even softer market they sign before telling the Canucks the offer.

That's my fan fiction for the night.
