There’s a big difference between Marleau and Thornton in all kinds of ways: contract, etc. They are also reportedly very different personalities with very different impacts in dressing rooms. Marleau might be the good baby sitter but Thornton is supposed to be more of a take no poop guy and likely to exert more of an influence.

Neither will make kids grow up. Hopefy Joe is a better fit on the ice

Joe has been a 20 year old his entire NHL career

Its just about putting in the work and having the right attitude. Jumbo is a role model for any player that wants to be professional but soak in and enjoy the life of an NHL player. At the end of the day it is a game, find the balance.

His way of going about it has given him 20+ seasons in the NHL.
