Perry? Yeah, we waived him so he'd go to our Taxi Squad to begin the year, for cap reasons mostly.

I don't know if teams passed on him out of respect for his choice to play in Montreal or just because they didn't think they'd need him.

Either way, he's still here and he's here to stay.

We are going to have to put up with you (frank)ers all year.... holy smokes..

Simmonds >Perry

For what it's worth, Simmonds has been better than I expected him to be with Toronto.

In the other 30 teams' defence, he hasn't looked great the past couple of years.

I do like him at $750,000, though.

Maybe.

But he didn't.

Went for his favorite team as a kid instead.

Simmonds is definitely better then Perry right now, but not sure about Thornton.

Better than you predicted him to be with Toronto:

"The goat will be: Wayne Simmonds"

"People think this guy is good, but he sucks (and the reason is): Wayne Simmonds. He's slow, he takes dumb penalties and won't help the team at all."

Yep, as long as they dont see an injury to Price or Weber. They need those two to be healthy, just like we cant afford Andersen to get hurt right now....

I'm not sure either, maybe it's because he thought that the Leafs were stronger on the wings than at C? So, he went after Thornton instead

Every team has small breaks, in anticipation that they will have to rejigg schedules.

I think the Leafs' longest stretch is 4 games. I haven't bothered to check anyone else's schedule.

Truth be told, I'd rather have a 4-day break than a 6-day break.

- Atomic Wedgie

Leafs have another stretch at the end of April 24-28 before finishing with 7 games before the playoffs. Actually, not bad timing.

For the first time since... god... the Halak days?

Habs could actually afford to see Price get injured and have Allen hold the fort for a while.

Obviously you want Price in net for the playoffs to have any chance at all.

Habs haven't won in 27 + years and counting, but you would think they won a couple of years ago, the way their fans go on.
