Fair enough.
So far so good.
Nothing would be better than a Habs vs Leafs playoffs series.
NOTHING. - Scabeh
Agreed it would be amazing to see.

I feel like the NHL really lined up the schedule for the Habs well this year. 5 of the first 10 games against the Canucks
Honestly though, not sure what is going on with the Canucks, I thought theyd be better then this. Markstrom really was their MVP is appears. They clearly miss Toffoli as well. |

Dude. Wow.
You know that the Habs' arena already burned down, right?
Talk about insensitive.
Enjoy your ban. |

Human perception (and Leaf fan frailty) is a funny thing:
I scrolled through their schedule, and I swear to goodness my first thought was "wow, their schedule is much easier than ours!" |

Yup. Losing both players hurt them.
They still have an interesting offense. But their defense is full of holes.
I hadn't seen much of Quinn Hughes except for his stats. I was surprised how horrible he looks defensively.
Just look how easily Corey Perry (who's still amazing btw, despite not moving that fast) just goes around him:

There's no way Vancouver makes the playoffs. If they do, it's because Edmonton somehow turns into an even bigger tire fire or Winnipeg implodes.

Last night was the first Canucks game I've seen, but it seemed like the Habs could get behind their defence at will.
I get that you are going to get burned from time to time, but wowzers, it just kept happening. |

Winnepeg looks good this year. Once they get Dubois in the lineup theyll get even stronger.
Edmonton sucks too, they just have two of the best players in the league to pile up enough wins to not suck in the standings. |

Maybe he'll slow down and need to rest from time to time.
But he's been a stabilizing force on the third line with Kotkaniemi. I'm sure the young man is learning plenty from him.

I assume all teams get a break like that this year....right? - Archaic
Every team has small breaks, in anticipation that they will have to rejigg schedules.
I think the Leafs' longest stretch is 4 games. I haven't bothered to check anyone else's schedule.
Truth be told, I'd rather have a 4-day break than a 6-day break. |

I'm sticking with my prediction:
6 teams will be bunched together at the end of the year, and seeding won't really matter in the playoffs. |

I wanted him over Thornton to be honest. I think he choose the Habs over some other suitors. Obviously Dubas wasnt interested else he'd be a Leaf IMHO. |

I agree. Such a weird year. No fans makes home ice not matter. It is nice to have the dressing room however.
Theyll have bubbles again in Toronto and Edmonton im sure. |

FFS, you're paying him league minimum! He can go to Whistler for two weeks, for all I care!
I'm actually surprised he cleared waivers - maybe he let it be known that he wouldn't report to a new team, but I never heard anything about that. |
