I think there was a TSN/CBC interview with his dad in which he openly admits to being a racist and using that type of language on a daily basis. Also it was about how he taught his son to think those kind of things too. Seemed like he was trying to take the blame for Tony being a piece of poop but he wasn't remorseful about it either.

Yes and no.

His game is the exact same, but he seems even more explosive than before. He is a poor mans Hall. He rips up the wing and generates chances that few players are capable of. His vision, passing, and overall awareness still lack what should be required of a top 6 guy in my opinion. That being said, throw Bastian and Mcleod on his line, and they will be defensively responsible, chip in some offense, and be annoying to play against. All for under 4.5M per season. So that is a big win. Keep on grinding Woody

I think it's the simplification of his game. He's not trying to do too much out there now. He's using his speed to attack the puck carrier, throwing his body around, and just shoots the puck whenever he can. Has also limited the amount of times he's crashed into the goalie and taking a dumb penalty which helps.

I mean, the only real similarity between Hall and Wood are that they are fast. Maybe you could argue they both drive to the net hard too, but part of that is because Wood can't stop or change directions after a couple steps.
