They will pick it up. Kreider and Zibanejad have been struggling. Im sure with DeAngelo gone the off ice distractions will disappear and they will rise in the standings. Unfortunately looks like that will happen before we play them

Let's explore that. So you think that Hart, Lindblom, Patrick, Farabee, Sanheim, Myers, Frost and Konecny have reached the apex of their growth as players. That there is no further room for development. Is that correct?
- MJL

Not exactly. Out of this list, I think Hart, Sanheim, Myers have more development for sure since as you know D and goalies take a lot longer to develop. I am on the fence with Farabee. However Frost, Patrick, Lindblom are what they are, I don't see them becoming top line players for the Flyers. If TK takes coaching and becomes more consistent, I think he can see further development. But leaving Hart and the D aside, where is the elite offensive talent coming from in the Flyers system? Its not there, and its not going to be any time soon. That is why I believe they need to make changes up front. I believe the way you beat the Islander system is with speed and the Flyers don't have it, that is why they struggle against teams like the Islanders. System alone can get you a stalemate, superior speed and skill tilts the board in your favor.

I fully believe Frost will continue to improve, if healthy.

So what was lindblom offensive outbreak last season ? A mirage ? How quickly we forget this guy was our leading scorer.

Frost hasn't even scratched the surface at the pro level.

Its also never too late to learn last year jake worked very hard to become a better 200 foot player. His improvement has been huge

Apparently kreider is the one who punched deangelo and rumor is he has a burner account insulting his teammates. Its been replying to beat writers all day giving counter arguments of events after last night game.

Sounds like DeAngelo wasnt happy with that OT goal
- xShoot4WarAmpsx

He wasn't exactly playing great D himself on that goal.

The Flyers struggle more against the Islanders because they can't handle their skilled but heavy forwards and all their big D men (who aren't a Hall of Fame lot -- not a Norris Trophy candidate in the bunch but the right guys for Trotz's style -- than they do because of the Eberle and Bailey types. Those guys will beat you at times because they are skilled but the Flyers have players like that, too. And Barzal gives pretty much every team fits.

Suffice to say the Rangers probably don't have the best team culture right now. At each others' throats in the tunnel after a loss. Sheesh.

DeAngelo is a walking lightning rod.

So you're retracting your earlier statement that the Flyers young players are what they are? Frost, Patrick and Lindblom all have room to get better. Flyers have plenty of top offensive talent. That's not the issue.
I've never seen more fans drastically overrate a team like the Islanders. What exactly have they won? What makes them the bench mark? LOL

Remember that time Simmonds ruined DeAngelo in a fight? Wasn’t even close.

By the way, Toronto fans raving about Simmonds right now.

Not like it matters too much, but Tony DeAngelo was born and raised in NJ, and NOT South Philly.

Supposedly thats where his family is from. He didn't play during the same time as me (im older by enough) but he was township guy (I was also born and raised in Southern NJ) and those guys had the same type of attitude and questionable chirps back then as well. In every sport. That area is a little more rural and more rednecky.

During his draft year, there were numerous reports that tons of teams pulled his name from their boards and didnt want to go near him. This isnt new...he's a long time scumbag

The Flyers aren't lacking offensive zone cohesion. They are lacking D-zone exits and speed through the neutral zone. Once actually in the offensive zone with possession, they've been quite good at getting pucks and attackers to the net.

You are always correct and I always agree with you. (Great Minds thing?)
I was having some fun.
I'll need to taper that down.
Meanwhile you can toss my effort at humor.

No they wouldn’t. They were happy to throw Kate smith under the bus. This guy has no chance with the sjw crowd
- Hextall271

Dont get me wrong. I’m happy Comcast wouldn’t be interested in him. Dont care about the Kate smith thing. Don’t know what sjw means.

SJW crowd is insulting and meant to inflame. Leave that stuff off the board.
- Gogol

Thanks.
I guess the folks who toss around that acronym think they have declared their 'just' POV to be different. When we deal in bigotry I see no reason to act sensitive, I act incensed.
