Bunny could be a staple on the fourth line for years to come, I love that he plays a heavier game too, doesn’t get pushed around at all - ClaudeFather
Agree 100%.
He was one of the few players in the 2nd and 3rd that was still up on his skates and executing well. You usually don't want to see your 4C out there for 16+ mins, but it was totally justified last night. |

The Flyers aren't lacking offensive zone cohesion. They are lacking D-zone exits and speed through the neutral zone. Once actually in the offensive zone with possession, they've been quite good at getting pucks and attackers to the net. - bmeltzer
They are mainly a rush team right now. When they get scoring chances, they are burying them, which is awesome.
However, they are not manufacturing enough sustained zone time. Once the SH% cools off, living off one and done is gonna be tough. |

I know VGK's Martinez was being mentioned in their desire to move out salary. I haven't watched him play much but he is a guy they win with when he is on the ice. Too bad Gus takes up that salary. I don't think we can have a defense corps of Provi and just youngens.
Whom do we have to trade? That game depends on what they're asking for. - therabbi
Vegas is not going to move Martinez

I agree. A lot of one and done once on the offensive end. It's as Bill eluded to, Flyers are very opportunistic on the few offensive chances they get. |

Can our struggles to put pucks on net be tied to a single issue?.. or is it more a combination of things?
I know we miss coots/niskanen but seriously this is getting ridiculous.
We're going to set records for shooting % - fishbulb
Even with Couts and Niskanen last season we were struggling getting shots. I don’t know if this is the system or just in the players heads with pass first mentality. |

Watching these games, a major problem is our forwards are leaving to much of a gap between themselves and our defenseman. Exiting our end our forwards break way to fast and leave the defence with long breakout passes or with an option to just dump it out of their end resulting in quick neutral zone turnovers and fast counter attacks. |

Kind of crazy, but with @NHLFlyers 13 points through 9... with 6 ROW.
They can *probably* lose more games than they win from here and make the play-offs.
Crazy as it sounds.
With early season way it is ~65 points is v.likely going to be enough.
That would be 23-18-6. #Flyers |

They are getting scorched defensively through the neutral zone. They are sending two attackers in deep and other teams are easily able to pass out of it and attack us with speed through the neutral zone. However our dzone coverages have been outstanding with all the zone time they are allowing |

The Islanders had a 60% Corsi last night, and in his post game presser AV said that we have to give the Islanders credit. Really? That's the reason? Yes, I can give the Islanders credit for having better players than the Flyers do. How many more games do we need to see before we realize the players on this team are just not good enough? - jd250
NYI dont have better players than the Flyers. Flyers players are more skilled than the Isles. Trotz knows he doesnt have the most skilled group so he wins games with a heavy forecheck and tight defense. On paper the Isles are not a playoff team. However they were able to put themselves in a playoff spot by being able to play team defense and capitalizing on turnovers. |

Rumor of some text messages claiming deangelo got punched in the face by a teammate for comments he made after the game. No elaboration. Hes gotten in trouble for his Twitter more than once. Sounds like rangers had enough. |

As more speculation comes out sounds like it was K'andre Miller and it was borderline racist.
This is all Twitter and not verified as an aside. I know hes been in trouble before for comments. |

Wow, I cant imagine someone doesn't claim him. The guy was 4th in goals and points among defensemen last season.
Must be some really messed up stuff happening in NYC.

Hes been suspended more times than I can count in ohl and ahl for comments and derogatory marks. And now granted im older than him but township guys were always borderline white supremacists with their comments when we played them. It wouldn't shock me. But everything as of now is unsubstantiated. |

Solid 3rd liner imo. More potential he hasn't quite lived up to. Hope he finds the right fit somewhere.
Sounds like rangers pumping up for a push for dunn with deangelo out. |

Yeah. That’s insane. Unless he’s getting kicked out of the league, then you’d think someone will take a chance. Quick look on google implies that he’s right wing so probably not welcome in New York. Haha |
