8 shots in 40 minutes against NJ....is embarrassing.

I truly believe most of our defence should get their eyes checked. The passes they make, the way they leave players alone in front of the net. The far defenseman seem to collapse to the puck carriers and leave the far wingers alone.

It isnt like he didnt try. Im sure we did our due diligence on Pietrangelo and I know Fletcher was after Brodie. Gus is sort of what we got stuck with. Vatanen would have been a good pick up but clearly he wasnt really in any rush to sign anywhere during the off season. Personally I thought he'd play better but other than Game 1 VS PIT hes been scary out there to watch.

Too much deferring going on with the Flyers, trying these ticky tac passes instead of just getting the puck, moving their legs and making a play. It seems every forward on this team is constantly trying to make a pass. We need a shoot first mentality from at least a few of our forwards, don't we?

I don’t want to be one of those fans that just yells “SHOOT!” But at some point you have to put the puck to the net. Not every play needs to be a perfect tic-tac-toe highlight reel.

Time to waive him and taxi him. Gus has been outplayed by friedman and Prosser. And thats not saying much. Prosser has played a solid simple veteran game with some moxy. 2 period over reaction. If myers is back Saturday.

This game reminds me of the first Bruins game last week, in this case the Flyers are tied going into the 3rd when they don't deserve to be because of Hart. I hope we are not going to see another 4 goal period from NJ this time.

Flyers have too many players on the roster who are clones in terms of how they play. Raffl, Patrick, Lindblom, Bunneman, Kubel, Laughton. There’s not one of these players that shouldn’t be expendable. This roster simply has too many players who are unspectacular. Hayes, Coots, Provy, Jake, and Hart are the only players worth watching.

This is more than about the talent, its a lack of effort and focus. I don't know why but even when they win there is something missing.

They don’t seem to be as motivated as they were at the end of last year.

Its like this team is a 6 sided die that gets rolled before the game:


1: Plays like a Cup Contender
2: Team lacks drive and Energy and is embarassed
3: Team scores a bunch but forgets to play D blowing their lead
4: Puck is handled like a live grenade. Pucks turned over all game long
5: Flyers refuse to shoot and cant score
6: Flyers start slow but come out stronger after every period
