Except it's likely to be...

POJ/Letang
Marino/Ceci
Cuuz/Ruh

I could also see Sully trying this...

Marino/Letang
POJ/Ruh
Cuuz/Ceci

Yeah I think these to be the likely scenarios too...

We've seen enough of Marino struggling on his off side, surely Sullivan has too......

For those anticipating Yannick Webber's Penguins debut, you're gonna-have-ta wait!

I can't believe Czuczman will be making his 1st NHL appearance since 4/13/2014. I could have sworn he played a year or two ago when we had a bunch of injuries, but I guess I'm confusing him with Trotman, who has played in 21 games the last two years. I know I've seen Trotman play (and he's pretty decent for a depth defenseman), but I really thought I've seen Czuczman play, too. I rarely watch pre-season, but that must have been it.

I think he was called up but ended up a scratch once or twice, never actually played.

One would hope, but I think he's looking at putting his best players together regardless of their side.

Wow our defense is atrocious. Idk how you guys feel about Dunn, I like his game on the Blues cup run.

Dunn would be a very welcome addition, but at what cost? Word on the street is a first or second.... (no thanks)

It would probably take a 2nd and I hope the Pens hold on to that 2nd for a forward upgrade.

I would pay that price because I think we're totally screwed if we don't (or something similar). We would definitely have to move at least two LDs, though, before next season. My priorities would be moving Dumo and Matheson. Dumo has to be considered damaged goods at this point (not to mention his non-existent offense) and Matheson is borderline untradeable due to his play and contract. We are in an almost impossible position right now.

Probably at least a 2nd. I'm sure there are other teams in on Dunn. You prioritize forwards over defense right now? Remember this is a shortened season and many of the LDs are out long term. When guys like Czuczman, Ceci, Weber and Ruh are getting a sweater on a nightly basis (not to mention rookie POJ and Marino is playing is off-side), that's a pretty pressing problem. Our forwards are good enough for the time being. Also, ZAR should be back soon.

I do still prioritize a forward upgrade. The defense will get healthy over the next few weeks and I think the Pens can mitigate that issue by playing boring Islanders-style hockey.

I find this blog funny "leaving the penguins high and dry" to pretty much bash Rutherford. Its a business get over it. He has full right if he wants to quit and leave at any time thats up to him. Just like the pens could fire him at any time and I wouldnt be mad at the penguins. There is assistant GMs hired by teams for a reason...

Anyways my top 3 choices for the new GM... Mike Futa, Ron Hextall, Laurence Gilman. Id be very happy with all 3.
