In the circumstances, Dunn isnt worth a top prospect or 1st.

However, given the season and most teams looking for defense, I could see St. Louis get something close to that.

Our problem is that we just dont have many assets. We've been spending draft picks like drunken sailors and dont have much to show for it.

- SuperHenderson13

I could be wrong, but my take is that draft picks the next 2 years are going to be expendable. This is contrary to how I usually feel.

There is going to be a really difficult challenge in scouting and development. Outside of the top 10 who usually have elite pedigree, I think the mid first through 3rd round will be a crap shoot.

I'd really like Dunn but not for next years first unless Matheson is going too. Save that first for more of a game changer.

Since I'm the one who vocally doesn't have faith in him yet, only fair to say Jarry played well.
- Tojo.

I was in the not big enough sample size dont trust Jarry camp as well....but he's solidified a bit the past 3 starts.

He returned.

Really wouldn't be surprised if he misses next game though...I was surprised he kept playing.

Vince Dunn sounds like a country singer's name.

So under todays advice in yahoo fantasy for Vince Dunn it says this:

"Advice: According to Friedman, this is the reason why Dunn is expected to be a healthy scratch. The club's asking price in return is reportedly a first round pick. The 24-year-old Dunn has really hit a stalemate in his career and a change in scenery would be beneficial for both parties. Keep an eye on where Dunn ends up, the former second round pick has some offensive upside and could contribute on a power play."

1st rounder? nah

Geno could of ended it a few times. Geno could of scored a few last night.

Geno will start doing that stuff again, its only a matter of time before he's finishing...and the one time he did finish it this year it was a very nice one tee clapper to the shelf, which we hadnt seen a lot of the last few years.

Geno will soon breakthrough.

Could totally see JR doing it though, especially if there's a lot of teams involved. He's given the Blues a 1st round pick before....

Yeah, I don't see them using that one unless it's for a major impact player.

I also read that Dumo is being evaluated for a lower body injury.

JR is so damn unpredictable, but you're prob right. I certainly hope you are hahah

Yeah, Dumo didnt come back...we jinxed LD all off season. We complained about having too many and paying them too much, too much.

We did this to ourselves.

Dumo, Petts, Math and Rikk....gone.

If the Pens even had a so-so PP they'd be in a better position right now. It's not even good enough to be meh.

I can't fathom that as much as I loved Phil, that he was the sole reason that PP thrived.

It honestly doesn't make sense, the PP was successful before Phil was there. Coaching for the PP is just abysmal. No net front presence, no movement in and out of the lanes, it's all perimeter movement that does nothing. Then they try the seam passes that get tipped every (frank)ing time.

Yeah I mean, if their PP had life they would of won that game. One of the goals against was a f'n short handy sure haha. Its pathetic. The 2nd PP unit looks pretty damn good though.

Is it the coaching though? Is it possible the players just aren't listening? I have a very difficult time accepting these experienced NHL coaches don't know the secret sauce to a good PP. The PP looks identical to last year and yet there's a different coaching staff. Something tells me the players just aren't listening.

I'd consider taking Rust off it and putting O'Connor net front. It seemed to me last night that's where the kid wants to be. They had him on the 2nd unit...that scored and he had an assist on it. I mean, the 1st PP unit cant get any worse, so why not try it out haha.

Short squeeze my man. Bunch of retail investors took on a bunch of hedge funds who subsequently started buying to cover short positions. Similar thing happened to AMC although AMC atleast had some decent fundraising

Id actually remove Guentz from the first unit and put O'Conner in front. Just to leave a righty out there on the first unit. Kap was on the second unit.

I read a little about it. Doesn't make any sense to me. Reminds me of the Dot.com bubble.

In my eyes, this looks like an excellent time to dump everything. I think we see a major correction by the end of this year. I'm talking 30 - 50% decline. Dot.com/housing bubble decline type stuff.

if the players who are running the PP, i.e. Sid, Letang, Geno aren't running it the way the coaching staff is instructing them then those little tweaks are fairly irrelevant. It's up to them to dictate the play on the ice, so if they aren't trying to create more movement, then it doesn't matter who else you put out there.
