It's a disgrace that the league doesn't protect the goalies more. No one is in a more vulnerable position more often and necessarily that goalies, and bullpoop like that should be suspendable every (frank)ing time. The knee drives downwards - even if pushed, that's Kypreos level idiocy.

I hate to sound like Roger-level conspiracy, but sometimes I feel that there is a general Canadian bias that exists against Toronto. If Simmonds had done that to Markstrom, the media outrage would have sparked the Department of Player Safety to make a statement. They would have at least fined Simmonds. In Toronto the media (a) is mostly from not Toronto, and (b) is embroiled with the general impassive ennui that seems to exist among Leaf fans that seems to stop the outrage. It could even be impacted by the "whining" Leaf mantra that grew during the Quinn years.
