6 games all on the road.... against their arch rival and 5 out west.... yeah sure....the Habs had an easy first 6 games...sorry not buying.... even if the Canucks are a little banged up....

Going from one side of the continent to another is not the easiest of feats either. Everyone plays banged up at some point. It evens out to a great deal. Funny how the Canadiens never get the tears when their league points production takes a dive due to injuries. It's always reported as a sub-par and weak team.

Agreed. Kings have looked pretty good against some tough teams. Much better than anticipated.

Kings are playing like this is an extended playoff, and although they've had a couple issues, Kopitar, Quick and Doughty know how to step it up. This doesn't shock me too much. The question is, how much of this is just early season jump, and is it something that is maintainable.

People are not giving the North division the credit they deserve. Any one of the teams there except maybe Ottawa can be in the playoffs and this division is a lot more even than the other divisions. Whoever comes out as favorites from the North will surprise a lot of people. I sure hope Lord Stanley comes back to the North this year

North division is very weak. Calgary, Toronto, Montreal and Winnipeg make it. Edmonton, Van and Ottawa miss.

LOL Vegas division, Colorado the class of the division for years to come. St. Louis definitely not the team that win the cup, depth depleted. Vegas was a deeper team b4 the owner became more demented and the GM does as he’s told like my Labradors do!
Absolutely love poopting on the newbies that are just such a circus LOL

Disagree. Will be very difficult to prove either way this year but Kings, Sharks, Ducks have looked pretty good against 2 cup favourites in the Avs and Blues.
Vancouver might just be the second worst team in the league behind Detroit.

Leafs have same number of points as Montreal.

Lightning waiting for opponents.

Bolts screwed by Carolinas without even playing each other. Bolts play 52 games in 104 days. Cernak hurt, Schenn, Foote and Rutta just scary. Due to LTR the Bolts can’t add because of the way the cap works. Yeah lost Stephens but he’s just a guy.

Canucks could be the second worst team in the league after Anaheim or San Jose

Tampa has benefitttted from playing half of their games versus Columbus.

In other news, I pick Columbus to win the division. They signed Grigorenko.

Interesting that MTL playing in Edmonton and Vancouver is seen as easy.. west coast trips are always difficult given a variety of factors. Edmonton did better against Toronto than MTL, yet that wasn’t mentioned. Vancouver creamed Ottawa last night so the MTL games are being undervalued in the idea that these were “easy” games. Edmonton has holes on defense and in net, yet they split with the leafs. Why is MTL always suggested as the number one team to trade, and when they do win the other team is seen as weak?

The problem here is that you're assuming the blogs are posted with evidence and/or understanding, and not just a toss of the dart behind the back in the dark.

The logic behind this post goes both ways EK lol. Necessarily if the records indicate "weak top teams" they could also = "sneaky strong bottom teams, who were stuck starting the year w multiple games against powerhouse teams". We dont know much of anything yet. Too early. You jump to too many conclusions bro! (E5)

While Vancouver made a bunch of mistakes against the Habs, you could take it one of two ways. Either Vancouver is terrible at defence (maybe), or the fact that Montreal's got 4 lines of disgusting speed that pressured them into those mistakes that will likely occur against other teams as well. I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss the Canucks, and instead maybe give the Habs a little credit.
