Meaning he just started in the NHL, he is going to have to learn to be better at certain areas of his game. I don't think him not being the clear cut #1 is going to affect him one way or the other right now.

Aside from the obvious pain of having Chytil out for extended time, I'm afraid that monster hit is going to shake the confidence of the kid. He was doing exactly what you want dynamic players to do by attacking the middle of the ice. Unfortunately, he got rocked in the process. Don't want him to be afraid to keep doing that.
