might change his mind very quickly with the way he is playing. Let's be honest, if MTL comes back with a revised offer around 5.75M-6M with a 6yrs term....he is signing - Symba007
I think if his minutes keep going down, theres a better chance he goes |

Tatar may have to explain why he's worth more than Toffoli - Takemedrunkimhome
yep, I think there's a real possibility he could sign for the same cap +/-

Tatar already makes 4.8M - Symba007
Technically 5.5... Habs pay him 4.8, Vegas the rest |

Tatar, Danault and Armia are all UFA's at the end of the season |

Yes and Toffoli signed as a UFA under the current economic climate that Tatar will be entering |

If he's committed to coming back at all
If he's willing to accept his role
If he's willing to accept a fair deal
And if it's no, they lose him for nothing - obie
we don't have any confirmation of this but my impression is that the answer would be "yes" to all those questions. I don't see anything wrong with a player refusing an initial offer, it's part of a normal process for negotiating a contract |

i lost my battle on G and A, but my PIM rocketed me to the top of the pool. yahoo really has an incredible set of rules. - Réal_Ruelle
Yup but in the end, it’s the head to head match-ups in the playoffs that matter. You can be number one seed after a great season and then have one off week when it matters the most and you’re left with nothing |

he's probably already buying in, hard to ignore this start to the season and how much more improved this team is - Pat1993
Buy in as in sign at a bit of a discount to remain a part of a winning team. And his agents are open to negotiations during the season...I think it was Brunet who said it in his latest article |

Exactly, that’s why fantasy hockey is fun and head to head format is the best
And i lead Fido 10-3 most of the week but in the final push he grabbed a couple of categories back umph lol but 8-5 isnt bad |

so in the pool we don't need to activate players on a weekly basis? I thought the automatic activation option was only good for a week, but if it's done for the season then I don't have to worry too much about it, apart from a little tweaking here and there... |

It was a fair offer... if he wants more than he's worth, he's not really dedicated to staying - obie
Agreed.
Sign the 5M pricetag or leave.
I'd rather see him stay, but overpaying player is exactly how you end up letting useful player leave.
Let's not kid ourselves, the way Suzuki is playing, kid is going to cost ALOT of money.

would 5.5 or 5.75 be an overpayment?
