On a positive note, Pouty and Hughes should be in the 4-5 million Bridge range...maybe.

I like watching Ottawa game, they have a lot of guys who work hard and are pretty big boys.
Too bad Ottawa players don't have the skill the Canucks have.

This, as well as Hughes as a Calder calibre defenseman.
Both of these kids have some nice skill, but they are not at that pay level.

- Reubenkincade

Not even close & I said bridge deals over & over.

I can ride it out with Hughes in his role but Petey needs a reset & off the top line. Hoglander is next man up since JV cannot get it done. Miller at C & Petey to the wing. Also bring in Michaelis & sit Beagle. Maybe Lind in & sit Roussel. Time to see some new blood especially the way the Canucks are playing now. Rathbone could use a look as well. What is there to lose?

We beat ourselves. We gifted those losses so much so nobody would’ve lost to us.
- Nighthawk

This is a bit delusional. They are playing terrible, have lost 5 of 7 games and are lucky it wasnt 6. They are losing 2/3 periods in pretty much every game and getting out shot like crazy. I just see a team looking like they have no defensive rhythm.

It is only 7 games in, I don't think you need to make those drastic changes, but the odd benching and demotions are warranted.
Plus, blaming it on the bottom guys who have been okay, isn't the issue here.
I have to admit, I was hoping Pouty for PLD was going to happen,

Okay we didn’t beat ourselves.
We didn’t gift wrap goals & chances.
Ops out plays us 2/3 periods.
Its out shot not primo scoring chances.

Did I miss anything?

I just think gifting chances is just another word for turnovers. Bad team cough up the puck. They beat themselves by playing likd poop, sure

Solution is right in front of them, sweep the Sens - won’t be easy but they can do it. Get back to five hundred, tough out the rough stretch in Feb and keep getting better as schedule eases. Season starts now.

Nothing drastic change it up & move in players here & there. I wanted it before the season & still want it.

I wasn’t & still am not ready to give up on Petey. I wanted PLD but couldn’t come up with an offer that would get him.

The 1st move Green made I didn’t like was starting Demko against the Oil. We won so I’d go with Holtby again. It was too early to start rotating goalies. Demko would’ve gotten in games soon enough.

On Green it’s time to call it like it is & call out the team for what it is. Not a fan of avoiding the obvious & could take a page outta Torts book.

Currently have the lowest win percentage in the league. New York, Buffalo, chicago win one or two or pick up a single points to tie Van. Last place after 7 games.

They came back 1 game behind where I had hoped they would be. The home stand they are now 1 game behind where I had hoped they would be. I had a sweep of the Sen's. I'm guessing 1-1-1 for them now.

Aka reset immediately. 4 pointers can allow this shortened season to get out of hand in a hurry if not.

I honestly don’t know man, maybe shake the top 6 right up. Not exactly sure, they are just giving so many odd man rushes and break aways. It might just be a step back this year. Montreal in first place, Suzuki a ppg guy... they are beating anyone, but they beat us bad.
- neem55

The Canucks beat themselves. Plus if you were paying attention Green shook up the top 6 from the start. But after they went down 2-0 he went back to Lotto and Bo with Hogs and both lines scored to tie it up.

Now I'm sure after that, Green told QH and then JTM enough of this; lets cough it up cause we need to gift them another win.
