No speed , no hits , no passion, When are fans going to stop fantasizing about this guy
Sorry Nightie .

Ok so how can you blame a winger who isn’t fed the puck nor team mates use his skill set?

What he can do is engage on D or bang when possible.

Any winger can disappear if D don’t give him the puck or a C isn’t a playmaker. We are shy on playmakers to suit his game. That doesn’t mean he would be better but it would create more opportunity. Wingers don’t drive the play if not given the service.

When do you need to be passed the puck to hit someone. Jake has been floating but he is not alone.

Canucks were beaten like a scurvy dog last game... maybe they are shooting or a lottery pick... genius.

My line-ups don’t matter tbh. I’d deploy lines to their strength & allow a system to utilize it. Not sure that is the case with TG’s lines & Baumers pairings. Flexibility needed to optimize dynamics.
- Nighthawk

No, say it ain't so!

Have you given up on lineup posting?

They do matter, you're impotent, I believe in you. Give me my lines

Ever see them allow Jake allowed to rush the puck?

Do they dump into his corner when on the fly?

When it comes to zone entry very few are decent. Bo & Miller are our best with Petey struggling. Gaudette doesn’t do well. That makes it tough on us.

Jake & Hoagie could be worth a try in the neutral zone or closer to our end rushing the puck. They can swing into centre ice for more space. Everything isn’t simply up & down north south.

I don't get when people say Jake's speed. He has been virtually invisible.
- VANTEL

His shift in OT where he skated the puck into the Habs end, looked around, then chipped the puck into the corner to finish the change demonstrated just how stupid he is.

No, they’re just a poor defensive team who miss their all-world goaltending from Markstrom. And by the way, hi kaptaan

Didn't JV have the only Canuck scuffle in the last game?

Playing like a leader and a top 5 pick,
kids been as smooth as ice,
he's been willing to sacrifice,
Some day he'll pay the price,
OJ is Edlers replacement and I'm fine with that.

- Pres.cup

He has been pretty solid and looks to be ready to step in. He does need to be quicker turning to his left and cutting off the outside rush, though, which was also a challenge for him in Utica.

I noticed a few times in the last two games where Myers looked like he was trying to cover for OJ on the right side (on 5x5), so I presume he must still be uncertain of OJ’s coverage. Myers, fwiw.

Can’t wait for better top 6 options than JV...move him down (or out).

I am done trying to predict how they will play. They know what to do they just aren't prepared to do it yet. I have mentioned here before how there may be a bit of a letdown from the intensity of the bubble playoffs and they have to decide to increase their intensity before they will be able to consistently compete.

I have noticed the turning left problem as well.
Other than that, he has faired well, but that could be a big problem, if he doesn't address that.

They seem to be riding on the coattails of their performance of the play-in thingy, after a mediocre regular season.

I actually don't think they are riding the coattails as in being satisfied with what was accomplished, but more so not being able to find a competitive level between where they were one win away from the conference finals and starting a new season. I am optimistic they figure it out. I feel like Green is taking a sit back and allow them to fail approach before he rips into them, I could be wrong . As a coach I would do that from time to time when my teams would forget who they were and what they needed to do to be successful.

I'm surprised the Myers hit was legal but the video makes sense.

To bad it was called on the ice, ruined the Canucks chance at a last minute come back...

Since JTM got back JV has not been in the top 6. Are you down on Hogs top 6 play?

Plus if Podz gets here this season he's more likely to be on Gaudettes' line if Hogs doesn't flounder.

Have the players had a closed door meeting...? Hard to know what's up with the Covid protocol coverage.
