Laine was on a pretty stacked offence with good centres setting him up. Will be interesting to see how he does as ‘the man’ in cbus. Also laine with torts could be interesting. Cbus and Winnipeg are basically the same market so I see laine leaving pretty soon.

I think it's hard to compare Laine and PLD apples to apples. Laine is a superior goal-scorer to PLD and also has become a good passer, but PLD has a better all-around game. I think it really comes down to what a team needs.

Sullivan essentially says that Kapanen will be on the top line eventually but that his conditioning level isn’t quite there yet and that he’s still getting acclimated to the Penguins’ system, which he said is considerably different than what Kapanen learned in Toronto.

Is their system really that different?

I mean, while Zucker looks like a demotion, I kind of like that third line. That could be a seriously fast line.

I really don't know how to view this. Zucker, aside from last game, has been one of the better Pens' forwards. The third line tanked the last few games, so part of me thinks this may be an attempt spread the wealth. The fact that Jank is now the 4C makes me think this more about improving the third line than putting Zucker on notice.

So having a bad player justifies getting another bad player? Why don’t we just stop getting bad players all together?

Don't get me wrong I would be 100% for trading for trading for Evander Kane or better players in general. I just don't think we have the pieces this year

I hope so! I still hope Zuck gets his chance with Sid since they played well together

Ok so I do like the lines minus Rod. It be sweet to see Tanev in that top 9, he seems to be better with more minutes than 4th line minutes.
