tbh, this canadian division is not very strong.

i think there was lots to like about the habs ##s last year, there was just an off with the peaking. the habs lost 12 games to non play off team and won 22 vs playoff team;

im not saying the habs will win the north or are cup contenders, but all the pundits that gave them no respect or had them missing the playoffs.... TSN just filled with homers? This was supposed to be the leafs and edm the cream of the north.

Calgary is going to be a test next week, we still havent played Winnipeg yet, and Ottawa is always pesky. I still think had we been in Atlantic we will be a playoff team this year

We know they are not going to keep scoring goals at an (almost) 5 goals a game clip.

Will be interesting to see how their defensive game steps up, and they stay out of the box.

(Because they are not going to keep scoring shorthand goals at this clip, either.)

yet basically everyone was expecting it to be one of the stronger divisions. I agree teams do have their share of struggles, but considering they basically had no training camp and zero pre-season games things should stabilize a bit as the season goes on
