meh, I'd prefer if the league was a bit more serious than this, I don't get how that type of hit doesn't warrant any consequences

Who you gonna believe eh, a guy sitting in his basement or the NHL Dept of Player Safety. Go figure.
The department of player safety ruled that the principal point of contact was not the head. Replays during the game where referees confirmed the call showed that the head was the primary point of contact. Subsequent replays showed that was not the case. |

subsequent replays? what the (frank) are those? and the concept of this "primary point of contact" is complete bullpoop, Armia got hit to the upper-body sufficiently enough to have a concussion, and it was clearly a blind-sided hit, not to mention with 2 min. left in a 6-3 game... |

they penalized the Canucks instead of the penalizing the player |

Subsequent, means follow up, viewed after the incident.
Upper body=concussion, I don't think so.
DOPS motto, will they ever trust us again.
Here, have at it.

Or it was a clean hit. Armia was far too focused on the puck for too long on the wrong part of the ice. Lost track of where the defenders were and got dinged with a good solid clean check for his troubles. |

see I don't buy that bullpoop. you can't give out consequences based on intention, since that isn't something that's actually observable, but looking at the play you can't tell me that was clean, I mean wtf. and I'm not even talking as a habs fan, just a hockey fan who wants to see players be able to play without thinking they might get a concussion if they're not careful enough. I know you have to be careful, but theres a limit lol |
