Jankowski needs to pick his game up quickly. If and when Sulliven has seen enough of Rodrigues on the top line that will be a good time to shake things up. Blueger is playing way better than Jank now and should be rewarded.

What was everyone drinking tonight? Buffalo Trace old fashioned with muddled cherries and oranges at the bottom.

Sounds like PLD and a 1st for Laine and Roslovic is very close... not done and I’m hoping to hear more in about 45 minutes here.

I agree that the bottom lines should be time played according to how well the line is playing.

Letang was brutal in regulation tonight. Handed the puck away multiple times in his own zone, including the play that led to NYR's powerplay goal.

Zucker has really been unimpressive... hate to say it, because he seems like a good dude... but other than a few moments this season and last season, he hasnt shown me much. i get he got put into a weird situation getting traded here and then COVID, but he isnt shooting the puck and try to make the pretty play. at least that line finally showed some life.

POJ played pretty well, skated confidently and didnt here his name much other than on his assist... not hearing the name of the rookie making his debut on defense is a pretty solid night. It will be interesting to see if he can grow into the role, he needs to bulk up a little bit, but if he gives you top 4 level play, you can clear Pettersson and/or Matheson and get an impactful player in FA.

Jarry wasnt bad. Giving up 3 goals isnt good, but overall I think it was a good step for him. Need him to continue to develop.

Overall, this team still doesnt have it IMO. They will either miss the playoffs or be a fringe team that barely makes it... but IMO they need to make some significant changes if they want to retool and make one more run at a Cup with this core.

I'd like to see Zucker play with Sid in a really good 2 way line, and have Geno and Jake in a scoring specific role

Jake Malkin Rust - match against other teams 3/4
Zucker Crosby Tanev - match against other teams 1st line
McCann Jank Kapanen - match against other teams 3/4
ERon Blueger Sceviour - match against other teams 2nd

Zucker + sid should have been the line since the mtl series. They were clicking. Jake - geno - rust was dominant. No reason to not go back to it

You want to put the weakest player (ERod) on the team with the hottest player.

Call me crazy, but that is an over payment from Winnipeg. I just feel as though this shouldn't happen. Defense is more of their issue right now, not poor center play.

Note:Even though a lot of rumor sites have Laine and Roslovic connected to the PLD trade.

Read a site this morning stating JR was close on a trade for a Defenseman and he was in talks with 3-4 teams. -thedailyhorn

He is friends with someone in the NHL. I forget what their position is but he usually gets them right.

I'd rather try O'Conner with Blueger.

I know, just saying I feel it's an overpayment by Winnipeg in my opinion and feel it is poor asset movement by them. I fixed my prior comment. They should be looking for D help much like us

I'm okay with the forwards they have playing, at least for now. I may be the only guy who thinks that Blueger should be getting rewarded with more ice time.

Jankowski started off hot and now he has played his way out of the third spot. I don't know if he has affected McCann's play or not. Either way McCann is still the third best LW.

I still think Jank is doing his job, it's just that Blueger is playing better, much better IMO. Enough that Blueger should be in a more prominent role. Nobody on this team has deserved a promotion more than him. Yet he is the only guy who never even gets a look.

I think it is more because players click together and have great chemistry on the ice. Blueger and his line seem to play great with Kap and it really has him playing fantastic. Rust and Malkin have great Chemistry, and sadly so did Crosby and Zucker. Sullivan just loves to try to mix up lines and messes up the chemistry most times.

Chemistry, eh? How about this for chemistry, in the last two years Blueger has been on the ice with Crosby for a grand total of nine minutes and they have produced four goals together.

Also Blueger produced last year with ZAR and Tanev. This year he is producing with Sceviour and Kapanen. It seems he has chemistry with a lot of players.

Now that I got that off my chest, I'm done thinking Blue is going to get an honest shot on this team. For now anyway.

At this point why not just play
Tanev-Blueger- Kapp and call it the first line.

One last thing, other than Crosby tell who else has done more to help this team win three games in a row.

Now I'm done.
