One step forward, 3 steps back. Seems like that’s going to be theme this season. I hope I’m wrong.

You can't fake desire. That's the most obvious thing to me. Maybe they're playing to get Sullivan fired.....at least I hope that's the problem.

Could be conditioning.

Looking hungry the past few mins. They've shown some resiliency and fight in the first 4 games... this game ain't over yet

They’re playing like they want to get the coach fired. But I don’t think it’s intentional. They’re just not very good.

Idk if it's conditioning, effort, or coaching but something needs to change. This team has moments of looking good during games, but they just don't seem to look good overall. I know they are down a few defenseman, but they seem to give up so many high risk chances every game.

I think the team is plenty good, they're just trying to play the young man way instead of locking it down like the Islanders.

That's too convenient an excuse IMO....especially since every other team had the same short camp. We must have 10 turnovers in this game so far. From my eyes, it doesn't look like they're focused for larges stretches of the game. One bad decision after another.

Honestly, this is what I worried about when they traded Hornqvist. This team does not drive the net at all. Mostly one and done perimeter play.

Its how theyre coached to play. We're still trying to be a quick offense team

Malkin is going to be pissed after that shift, Zucker and Rust should of each had one

Malkin's line looks like it's starting to get going. And Sid's line looks completely different when Kapanen is on it.

I have not seen anything from Zucker other than speed...he’s reminds me of a poor mans Hagelin

I was thinking this as well watching this game. I could see him being the one that gets traded. Rust and Malkin are starting to get it going.

We've had multiple goal deficits in 4 of our 5 games so far. This is not a hungry or focused team.
