Marner has been buzzing all night. - Arctic_AARDVARK
It's all the Sunny D and Smarties he had at intermission. He'll probably get cranky and fall asleep in the 3rd. |

Get traded to another team. Then the calls start coming for them. |

100% - if I get that opportunity (not in the NHL - in my own poop league) I put the puck into the goalie's glove.

Playing more physical would be a start. Refs like to be even-steven when handing out penalties so Leafs games always tend to be low PIM affairs.
The side effect is also that teams tend to get away with a lot more bullpoop because of said referee balancing nonsense. |

Those are fun, been in a few as well.
Kirton is all salesman now. He shows pictures of him as a Leaf at his open houses. He was shocked the first time I met him and knew who he was.
My wife said, “We’ll try to look past that.” Lol - Woderwick
You could tell McKenny had his act down.
From the moment he entered the room, it was like he hit "play" on his tape recorder.
Cracking jokes, making fun of guys.
Just before we were about to go out, big speech about how "yeah, this is a charity game for fun, but we all need to be defensively responsible. Let's play an honest game, etc."
Then at the end of the speech, turns to the goalie and says, "OK, I'll see you after the game!"
He was also hitting guys during the game - it was strictly non-contact. Not trying to kill guys, but not exactly light bumps either. And guys on the other team were 100% loving it.
I remember hearing a guy on the other bench, "Did you see him nail me? It was awesome!" |

Same
It is amazing how quickly goalies can get back into it (or another way of looking at it: they're never really out of it).
For how much net he had and time, that was almost a save. |

It's better when it feels more real (as I type that I'm realizing how awkward that sounds )
They want to experience the full effect, not some nhl coasting. |

I've told this story on Hockeybuzz before, but tough poop, you'll hear it again:
Midway through the game, my defenceman springs me.
2 on 1.
The "2" are me and Wilf Paiement.
So the defenceman isn't stupid - he's playing Paiement all the way.
I try faking a few passes - nobody is buying it.
And then I shoot - wide.
Puck goes the other way, I go straight to the bench.
And then my brother just franking lights into me.
"So let me get this straight - you have a breakaway with Paiement - a guy who regularly scored goals in the NHL - and you take the shot?"
Oh frank, it was awful. |

Weird game, shorty woke them up a bit.
The 3 on 2 / 2 on 1 / 4-2 wasn’t enough in the 1st 5

Marner makes $10.9M per year!!!
So from watching this game and doing a little math, Marner gets about $3M per year for all the time per game he is falling and on his ass.
FFS, earn yo money b1tch!!!
Edit: this is just my way of saying he is playing like sh1t this year!!! Absolute sh1t. (I know he has some points but he looks lazy or disinterested out there, just kinda off) |
