The reason why Brisebois gets no respect here is because he isn't shiny enough and Benning raved about him for a couple years, similar to Chatfield.
The kid was Utica's best defenseman last year, he has earned a longer look.

I thought Utica had 4 very good Dmen last year that could challenge for an NHL spot.

I am hoping short term pain for long term gain.

No. He has been consistently saying this for about 3 years now.
- Reubenkincade

Well I wouldn't know that far back but good to know he had early targets.

100%

Problem is though Green is playing for his job and I guess Benning also. As much as it is the right thing to do Aquilini might not agree with us.

lol did you see the look on Bennings face when MTL scored the go ahead goal at 5-4...

Yup.

They have been brutal to start . Hamonic has given up three goals in the last two games

Sometimes you need to take a step back in order to get better.
We now have Hughes to run PP, something that has been sorely missed for many years, we need to find out what roles this young kids can fill, if any.
They do need to find someone e who will be able to replace Edlers minutes, maybe that is someone like Chatfield or Juolevi or Brisebois or maybe it is Woo, or one of the European defensemen.
We won't know, until some of them start receiving icetime, in those tough minutes.

I am I no way giving up on this season, but this is the perfect season for experimenting.

I dont think it cost a goal, but his lack of confidence showed in the O-zeon - the puck was coming back to him and he EASILY could have got it, he started, then backed away out of the zone. It was like playing beer leage against a D-man that can't skate lol

Benning mentioned him only when there were no other prospects. Are you advocating Bisebois to go in ahead of OJ and Rathbone?

I cheer every game to win . We are both saying the same thing. This year is one big training camp.

Hughes is struggling away from Tanev, it shouldn’t be too much of a surprise. He will adjust and get better. I’d imagine Rafferty will be tye next young guy in, i think Benn will play too.

Benning has always said if a player deserves it, they will get a chance.

But the coach is the one that sets the rosters and he is playing for his job. Two different agendas .

Agreed.
There isn't a Canucks fan on here that doesn't cheer for them to win and most agree, this is the season to try different players and try play some type of system.😁

No.Juolevi is sink or swim time, Rathbone has done nothing at any professional level, so yes.

Depending on the severity of the injuries on D, I wouldn't be against rotating them until someone takes the ball and runs. Sorta like going with the hot hand in net.

Yeah, if they are going to keep Green then sign him now and if they're not then fire him now.

That would be the right thing but do you want to extend Green for 3 years . I am no where near that yet and maybe even slanting the other way to walk away.

I think they're going to let him walk as well, what a waste of a write off year.

Tanev was always the guy to take the hard hit to move the puck to Hughes, now it's just Hughes taking those hard hits with no one to move it to
