That few eh? I'm saying he makes it through the Ottawa home stand.
- NewYorkNuck

I think if they lose 2 more in a row, that management or ownership are going to be left with little else to do.

Wasn't JT Miller 'coaching' his first practise back from COVID protocol?

Ya, but he's gotta play. Those other two bums aren't doing anything for their paycheck.

Eric Engels reported there probably won't be a suspension on the hit.

I'm guessing sunday's game won't be pretty.

List of teams that I believe have inquired with Columbus on Pierre-Luc Dubois, obviously some with more seriousness than others (in no particular order):
Anaheim, Minnesota, Montreal, Winnipeg, Calgary, Ottawa, Rangers, Buffalo, Philadelphia, Detroit, Washington and Arizona.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Needs to be a strong offer not just KK and a first because he is from Quebec

If it did come down to firing Green, I had mentioned having Trent Cull coach until the end of the season. I am not sure what's happening with STL blues AHL coaching staff this season either.

The Florida Panthers have placed Jonathan Ang on unconditional waivers according to Pierre LeBrun of The Athletic. The 22-year-old forward is in the final year of his entry-level deal and will likely be ticketed for a mutual contract termination should he clear tomorrow.

Jim Benning wins another trade.

Speaking of that trade. I wonder what Pearson will be worth come TDL. He had a great season last year, and is not having a terrible season this year on a personal level. Think he can net us a 1st or similar value?

Best solution: move Benning to full time president in charge of scouting, draft, liaison with FA, and general direction of team. Bring in GM to deal with trades, hires, signings, etc.

Best of both worlds.

- NewYorkNuck

no way. pick a side: fire him or don't. having a guy forced upstairs to oversee his replacement is a recipe for disaster.

this scenario only works if he wants to move upstairs and gets to pick (has a say) in his replacement. i find both of those terms unlikely so you end up with a guy who begrudgingly moves upstairs having authority over the replacement he may or may not like.

finally, who would have final say on decisions such as 1) trades; 2) coaching; 3) drafting; and 3) player personnel moves (minors, waivers etc.)?

we can all sing kumbaya and say that it'll be a "collaborative" effort but ultimately one person makes the decisions. who would it be? if it's the president (jb) what's the point of the change?

again, either fire him or don't. no in between business. i don't want a re-tool on the fly in the front office.

"Hey, Jim, we love what you've done with the team, we're just wanting to make some changes. We'd love to move you upstairs and have you focus on your strengths of drafting and developing our team from the President's position. We'll be bringing in a new GM to oversee the rest of the operations (trades, signing, coaching, etc.).

"We want to continue having you be part of our Canucks organization. We share a vision, and we want to share that vision with our new GM and yourself. If that works for you, great. If not, we understand."

Don't think it has to be "collaborative". If JB wants to stick on and help build this team on top of what he's done, great. If he wants all the say, then I think his time is nearing its end.

A lot of #Canucks 'fans' on Twitter will look less than intelligent by next week when Petey & his crew come alive and win out the rest of the homestand. Thinking face

If you don't believe in the #Canucks young Core 5 then seriously WTF are you doing here?

56 games is still a marathon.
