Yeah, he's a decent-sized defender.

Last night, I was remembering talking to him at YoungStars in Penticton — I guess just after he was signed, in Sept of 2017?

Seems so long ago. Boeser was there, about to be scratched for the first two games of the 2017-18 season. Demko was there. Juolevi.

And I remember Trent Cull being there, too. That was when Green first took over the Canucks.

Good for Chatfield — and Juolevi — for finally getting to the show!

Any idea who the Canucks will choose to put in if both Hamonic and Edler are out tonight? I'd like to see Rafferty get a shot

I'd guess Benn and Juolevi myself.

Time for Petey to have a break out points game. QH to defend better and drive the play.

Agreed! They gotta step up and lead, or this is going to be a long year.

The good part is, other then Bo, the Canucks best players haven't played up to where their talent is; and so, we can see better games from the Canucks.

For some reason I always thought he was about three inches shorter.

Watching him last year on the Comets you could see is a very smart defender that thinks the game. He was fast enough to outskate his mistakes . They used him in key situations . With OJ and Rafferty grabbing the headlines it was easy to forget that the Comets had 4 good AHL defenders.

We all got to see what Sautner looked like and I think Briesbois is just as good as Sautner.

Chatfield always looked like a good Stecher replacement . I think Briesbois could step in to replace Benn and Fantenberg (KHL now).I hope they take a look.

Is there room for Brisbois when Rathbone and Rafferty are ahead of him...?

Miller is back also, he’s a key guy. Boeser, Bo and Boes have been at a high level. The rest have to step up. Goaltenders also need to play 60 minutes, haven’t seen a full game from either since the opener.

Thanks Carol,

Potential D issues shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone aside from being this early in the season. The team should rightfully be concerned. Time to throw them kids to the wolves.

- VanHockeyGuy

This is actually a blessing if Edler-Hamonic are gone long term.

I guess it really depends how their replacements perform.

Is this Whipper?

He had one of the funniest answers I still remember years later.

Whipper use to get an occasional ban now and then and I asked him when he was banned What happened to his Whipper 535 account and his answer was its now Whipper 536

JTM isn't up to speed yet so we will see more from him. BB has had 2 productive games but Bo has been effective in all of them. Point is room for improvement on top of 2 best talents in Petey and QH.

Tenders have been solid but not game steeling to date. But don't need that if the D personnel actually has a good game.
