I've looked at the replay over and over.

He does hit the chest/head at about the same time. So they could see it as the chest being the initial point of contact.

That doesn't take away the blindside aspect of hit though.

- Scabeh

that would be an unsurprising but completely ridiculous interpretation. it's a dangerous hit, period.

I have come to expect nothing less than the ridiculous when it comes to player safety.

NHL usually goes fast on folders like theses, if there were to be a suspension a call, meeting or something would have been up already. This suck

not to be an "alarmist", but it's as if it's gonna take a player to be in a coma and die for things to actually change. I mean what the (frank) are they waiting for

I've said it before and i'll say it again.

Bergevin, overall, has done a very good job as GM.

He completely (frank)ed himself and the team during the summer of 2017, which could have cost him his job.

But his oftenly mocked "reset on the fly" is looking like a success so far.

It took him like ten years or something to get anywhere.

well maybe if they stop putting ex players in charge of those reviews...

here an idea, hire an head trauma specialist, let him decide what is dangerous...not a uy that had 20 concussions over his career...

considering everything you would still do that trade? (frank) that, at this point I'd rather keep Danault and Caufield

well to be fair the "head trauma specialist" would be specialized in injuries, not necessarily on hockey plays... but I get your point.

Results before 2017 were not so bad.

We finished first in our division, went to the conference final once, made the playoffs....

I get we didn't win the cup but teams have had way worse results over that period.

Wow if this is the trade, where do I sign? We already have 3 RW signed for 4years+

Danault is good but PLD is way better. He has amazing talent and would fit well with a Toffoli or Tatar. And a 1st.. we are already filled with prospects and picks

If he keeps this up, Habs will grab him for Weal and a 4th round pick in a couple weeks

Tortorella is insane, but I don't think Dubois is handling this the best way either... to me there's more to this story, a good player for sure but it seems his attitude might be problematic. I guess I'll wait and see if we can get further explanations but something smells fishy (and no it's not because my mouth is too close to my nose)

If they win anything, I guess.

But that team was not going anywhere for years.

They made the playoffs last season because of Covid.

The owner gave him a lot of chances and lot of time.

I agree with scabeh that things weren't going that terribly before 2017. anyways I'm just really happy about the current team we have, and it brings me to the conclusion that it took time but MB has done a pretty decent job overall.
