Bergevin, overall, has done a very good job as GM.

He completely (frank)ed himself and the team during the summer of 2017, which could have cost him his job.

But his oftenly mocked "reset on the fly" is looking like a success so far.

agreed. it's easy to criticize him but I think he's done more good than bad to this team overall. and now this reset does seem to be paying off

I've looked at the replay over and over.

He does hit the chest/head at about the same time. So they could see it as the chest being the initial point of contact.

That doesn't take away the blindside aspect of hit though.
