I 100% agree. Sometimes they are correct with their reports, but it's like a .0004% success rate. So you never know what's true and what is not. I have a gut feeling Roslovic becomes a Pen. I wonder how many trades will happen this season with the quarantine timeline following a trade - 123Kid
I'm not sure at this point. The need for a dman may throw a kink in that plan.
If I'm the Pens, even though it's in the division. I'm looking at a large deal with NJ. Grab Kulikov and Palmieri. It will be a steep price, but it addresses all needs and then Kulikov can always get sent to the Taxi Squad when healthy if necessary.
I'm throwing a package of the Pens' 2nd, Legare or maybe one of the goalie prospects if they need one, Sceviour and maybe some change to grab them.

Dreger said 3rd pairing guy. When I heard that, I'm assuming Matheson and Rikki might be down longer than we think.
As far as Roslovic goes... If they project he'll be 3rd line RW with some upside, I think a 2nd is probably right. I mean, how many 2nd rounders ever actually get that far?
I'd prefer they give the 2022 2nd instead if this years. We got mostly nothing left other than that 2nd in this upcoming draft. I'm curios if he has to be protected in the expansion draft? |

I'd do that package as well. Palmeri would be our bonafide LW top PP guy. |

He didn't say third pairing, he said heay have to settle for third pair at this point. |

I think people are undervaluing Rust. Yeah, Roslovic is younger, but Rust will only be 30 when his deal expires. Sure, Roslovic could have a higher ceiling as Rust's ceiling was probably last season, but there's a good chance Roslovic never becomes anything more than a bottom six winger. We could easily downgrade in such a trade.
I would feel better with just a pick/prospect going the other way or have WPG add a player if Rust is to be included.
I'm pretty sure Matheson is untradeable unless we are getting back another bad contract. Petts may have been on the block, but I have come full circle on him and would rather keep him. - Hockey66
It's definitely not "only 30."
You don't pay low tier 2nd line wingers on the wrong side of 30 the money he is going to want after his deal. |

Rust should definitely not get his next contract here. But depending on how this season goes we can let his contract play out. |

They used him last year and used him in the playoffs, but haven't dressed him this year.
Roslovic wants to be a top 6 winger for a team which I believe that is why he is holding out with Winnipeg and demanded a trade.
I read Pens may reach out to Colorado, Nashville and Toronto for a LHD, but that is just from rumor site browsing. |

I wouldn't mind letting his contract play out. Definitely agree, they can't give him his next deal. By that time we will have gotten his best.

Any names from those teams or do I have to look at each team haha. The Avs just traded Cole though. |

I guess we'll see haha. Probably like the practice lines the other day but with Ruh instead of Cuuzmanhshsj.

Yeah, that's what I'm saying. I'm ok with selling high on Rust, but that means getting something more than Roslovic, who I don't have a high opinion of based on the small amount of information available to me. |

That looks so rough. Bad enough that Ceci, POJ and Ruh are all playing at the same time, but Marino playing his off-side after looking shaky to start the year. |

I cant help but think that because Cuuz was the first one recalled from taxi, he will be played over PO, which I dont want at all....but we shall see. |

Trade rust. He had a career year and will never go for a higher price. The way his line is starting off it’s not looking good for replication but part of that falls on sully for not shaking up the lines and giving geno guentz. If it’s for roslovic they need to add more. He’s had good QoT in Winnipeg and hasn’t done much. I’d say he is like rust before last year and the game 7 playoff goals.
I like the nj suggestion someone mentioned. |

That was me, but I also don't know if I'm super far off from what NJ will want for Palmieri. |

Rutherford should bench Sullivan a few games. Let Todd take over. That would shake things up. - Grinder47
I second this entirely! Moving Rust because your coach is a failure at getting his team ready to show up at pick drop is idiotic |

I like that suggestion. The Habs are fairly deep at LD so that could work. |
