I find odd that RW brings up Rust as a trade candidate and says he has looked like a ghost so far. Well, he has 3 assists in 4 games playing alongside Malkin who has been a complete slug. Also, we're kinda short on RWs. And Rust only makes $3.5M this season and next - not exactly breaking the bank for what he brings. Oh, and he also plays top PP and PK. Trading him to "shake things up" would be the height of stupidity IMO. Yeah, I expect a drop-off from last season, but so what? He's still on a value contract.

That "report" is BS. Zucker has been the only one skating on that line. Rust is the guy who looks out of shape. He's gassed after 15 seconds. Malkin at 35 will probably need another week or so to get his legs moving. Zucker has been doing what he can with two dragging linemates IMO.
