What about other people in the hotel they could come across as they go to the room to hang out. The virus can live was it up 48-72 hours on a surface.
So it wouldn't take much to spread it through the team and possibly to other teams.
The new variant of the virus apparently spread even faster than that donkey.

I say test them while quarantine for 5-10 days. They get 4 negative results, then they could re-join the team.

I'd rather see them save then possibly dead.
