You don't see the immediate downside to sitting out a superior player in Aube-Kubel for a player who has never played an NHL game at the position he is currently at and hasn't played a significant amount of hockey in two years? Interesting. - MJL
Wherever did I say sit NAK? Frost is out....Morin is in, where in that equation does it subtract NAK.
I understand your proclivity to look to be on the offensive and attack with implying that most of us dont think but you jumped the gun on this one.

NAK was playing on the line where you inserted Morin so excuse me if I misunderstood that part. However that doesn't change the inexcusable for you to say that there is no immediate downside as I pointed out. In my opinion, Morin is far more likely to make mistakes due to the new position and due to his over-aggressiveness, take penalties giving Boston a PP or two.
Also unless they're willing to move Giroux to center, with Frost out, they need to add a center. |

Saw this. Myers is a huge loss. - Hextall271
Week-to-week is encouraging. Not the 2+weeks like Coots.

Funny...thought I clearly stated there is inherent risk in my proposal. Guess its OK you overlooked that. I also gave reasons why I felt the offset was rational IMO and I even said its my opinion and you dont have to like it or agree.
Moving Claude inherently means a reshuffle of many players....some may even swap right to left so saying NAK is on the line was an assumption you made. Given V's tendencies of keeping pairs together at a minimum, Raffl and Laughts work well together hence my whomever they slot.
Long and short is you went on the offensive and implied I didnt think...then you did it again with your INEXCUSABLE comment. Not sure why you need this board to be a measure of your winky but peace brother!

Your statement. Your whining here won't change what you stated. I disagree with your suggestion. If you want to make more of it in a childish rant, then that's on you.

Time to move frosty in a package. Years of slow progress and injuries. He was never a top end talent prospect. |

Is it panic time yet for the defense and its health ? A 3-4 game skid could mean missing the playoffs in our division. Theres no push overs or easy wins. - Tfaehner
I have a hunch that Friedman's gonna come in and play really well. |

That second pair (even if it is just on paper) is the stuff of nightmares.
One more dman goes down before Ghost is ready and we may see Big Sam moving back to defense. - MBFlyerfan
That's fine with me, I thought putting him at left wing was stupid anyway. If the kid can't play defense, he should quit and become a scout.

When Coots got hurt I looked at the hit and saw The butt of the stick lifted into his ribs on the hit. Thought...nah. Not on purpose. But than same play and same type of open ice hit on Myers. And same result. Watch the hit and the butt if the stick is lifted up into the rib cage. Frost was the same player but a totally different hit and shoulder injury.
I’m still not jumping up and down but the league could be looking into these types of hits. He could be using that butt of the stick as a hitting weapon. What is your thoughts. |

Has there been any change in availability status for Ghost?
Edit:
Per tweet from Charlie O’Connor...
“AV says Shayne Gostisbehere skated yesterday. He's skating on his own in Philly, and next practice in Philly he expects him back with the big group. Still on COVID list for now.“ |

Both looked like potential butt ends but that would be super difficult to have DOPS do anything. I would think we should lodge a concern with DOPS so they can watch McAnn and McCabe to see if this is something they utilize going forward and may be able to warn them |

I agree, as long as he keeps it simple... From what I've seen in his past games, he can play defense but doesn't have add anything flashy with the puck.

The Boston defence does not look very intimidating with he loss of their #1 and #2 in the offseason. |

I definitely thought about this, and I would hope they look at all the replays again and monitor it going forward.

If it’s a broken rib how else could it have happened on the exchange? Def an issue for DOPS |

Its clearly not without risk, but they come at you with waves of physicality. They saw the Islanders series vs. us....they know exactly how to come at us.
Very Heavy Game:
Ritchie, Frederic, Kurarly. Lauzon, McAvoy, Carlo, Miller
Moderately heavy (heavier than most of our guys):
Wagner, Smith, DeBrusk, Studnika and Coyle
I just dont see the immediate downside of a Morin - Laughton - Raffl line with Claude moving to Center vs. a Raffl - Bunny - whomever they slot.
Boston is sitting 6th so odds are they will be hyped. IMO- Game one I roll with Morin for some size and physicality as a small offest if things get bad and take advantage that he can play D on the kill. Pull him for game 2 if it doesnt wor out but if Im Boston im setting physical tone game one in hopes we tuck tail and come out gun shy game two. Just one man's opinion here...you dont have to like it or agree with it. - juiced
Yes and I respect your opinion, I just think that against a team like Boston you have to put your best lineup on the ice, and Morin at left wing is Ludacris IMO. I mean if you put him on the 4th line you are going to have to sit either Raffl or NAK, and I would not do that since Morin is inferior to both those players. In general I think this entire move to wing for Morin is stupid, it makes no sense, the kid is 6'7" and taller on skates, he belongs at D or scouting teams.

Closed fist on end of stick would most likely be the claim of the offender.
Like a fist with a roll of pennies in it can easily cause major damage.

You sure about this? In 3 games so far this season the Bruins have given up 3 regulation goals, that's 1 goal per game, and 3X better than the Flyers currently.

I would make a couple minor changes in detail to this line up. I think on the third line, I would switch Giroux to center and Laughton to wing. The reason is, I think Laughton would be that line’s best forchecker and he’s pretty physical along the wall. I’d also play Provorov and Sanheim as much as possible tonight but separately. Our defense is OK without Ghostisbehere and Myers, not great, but we have guys who can pick up the slack? Anyone remember Laviolette only playing two pairs in the Stanley Cup playoffs? Pronger, Timonen, Coburn and Carle? We’ll be alright. |
