They never tied all threads together...they'd introduce all these cool elements without explaining them, then not pick them up...the alien bounty hunter, the black oil, the bees, the kid...I was a megafan and I can't tell you what the deal was...too bad, because at its peak it was an amazing, groundbreaking show

I was a huge fan when the show first came out - but I was a Monster of the Week fan, not a Grand Conspiracy fan.
As the Grand Conspiracy took over, I stopped watching.
Edit: and I have Kolchak the Night Stalker on DVD.

I was much the same.
Even with more recent shows like Person of Interest, I preferred it when it was just help-a-person episode, not "grand scheme episode".
Although I did prefer Fringe when it started to lunge into more plot-based episodes. |
