I just remember loving the guy and wondering why so many ppl hated him.

I went to Leafs/Sens game 6 in 2004. I wore my McCabe jersey and i had a blue mohawk. During warmups i chatted with him through the glass and he was awesome, he said he liked my mohawk lol.. When he left the ice he fired one last shot from the blueline and hit the glass right where we were standing, he was laughing and waved goodbye.

the game was so bad and boring, I went to bed with approx 8mins left in the 2nd period.
glad I did - the loss wasn't a surprise.
leafs played with 0 heart again, that's staying the real problem for this team..

last 2 periods vs wpg was best regular season hockey played by leafs in a couple of seasons imo -- only for the leafs to fall back to their standard 0 heart 0 effort hockey.

not sure how that can be solved.

p.s. I was a big favorite of Dubas adding Simmonds, but I was wrong there - the guy has looked out of place so far, really not helping the leafs at all. engvall or korshkov would help leafs much more (at least on the ice)

The Branch Nylandians will tell you he has the best contract in the league, but at nearly 7mil you cant be a purely offensive player. Every other player with a similar contract is either better offensively, or a far better two-way player.

You can tell Keefe has been trying to instill a better work ethic in him, because he'll occasionally put his head down and skate hard now, he never used to do that. But he still wont engage physically, and he basically floats around in the dzone just casually waving his stick around. IDK why he's such a wussy.

The leafs shut down 2 really good players and didn't give up anything of significance, scored on 2 fluky off the skate goals. They gave up 22 shots but people actually saying they played like crap?

They litterally had 3 goofy bounces go their way. Had any one of those bad bounces not go against them they're tied with a chance at OT.

They didn't lose as many man games, but they most significant pieces, which cost them pts in the standings.

But now hopefully their key guys stay healthy, but losing the depth guys isn't going to hurt a whole lot on ice but seriously hamper the cap.
