Ristolanein wasn't just signed. He signed 6 year 30 something million in 2016. I think if there wasn't expansion looming you'd have already seen fletcher make a move to address the need for another impact defender.

I agree. It's hard to pick up a quality defenseman and risk exposing one of Myers or Sanheim. And most likely losing whomever was exposed.

Really good points! The thing I noticed with Patrick is he seems to be focusing so much on being sound defensively that he is not hanging in there enough offensively. I am sure as the season goes along he will find that balance. Couturier had the same problem for a few years also.

you have to add the Flyers are not playing as a 5 man unit, when they do we will see more puck possession. I will write this off to no preseason games etc but they need to gel quickly.

They aren't. And the point i think you're trying to make is things like winning board battles which we definitely don't do enough of. And we lose a lot behind our own net. Myers is really the only physically imposing d man we have. And he doesn't use it quite the same. Zamula is paper thin.

None. However they're traveling to Boston tonight so I think somebody somewhere has got to at least report who is traveling.

Corsi exgf among other things. Controlled exits controlled entrances. Etc etc. Basically every stat and fancy stat. Plus the eye test which he includes his own opinion. He brings a ton of optimism but also the what if we don't improve question.

Also guys the website has frost updated as saying hes om the IR. Myers has no designation- yet.
