I find Rye less sweet which is why I love them for Old Fashioneds.

I only do Campari and SV for Negronis. I truthfully don’t love a ton cocktails. I prefer neat or a couple of cubes. If it’s like a really good cocktail place that does those old school prohibition cocktails I’ll try some different things.

- Rinosaur

Boulevardiers are Negronis with whiskey instead of gin. You should give it a try!

I did Negronis this weekend while watching The Godfather.

I’ve had those and not a fan. I was a mixologist for a period.

Negronis are one of my favorite cocktails.

Alcohol is a poison that kills your cells, ages you, numbs your sensations and dumbs you down. You consume it because your government decided that it was the drug to help them the most, not you, and you've been indocnorated that it's the safe, legal and socially accepted drug since you were born. Hell, it's not even considered a drug by most. Ironically it's one of the worst and most harmful drugs to your body/system.

To each their own though.

Are you being serious?

I consume it because I enjoy it and am well aware of the dangers. Most people of this generation are well aware alcohol is more dangerous than marijuana and hallucinogens, and that’s why legalization has so much steam. To say I’ve been indoctrinated by the government to consume alcohol is insane. This teetotaler mentality got us Prohibition in the 20s and is no better than people advocating the war on drugs. You can advocate legalization of marijuana without being a (frank)ing dweeb about it.
- Victoro311

And you can not get offended that I called out your drug of choice hahaha. Name calling at 8am, imagine that hahah

Whos advocating the legalization of weed? Its already legal in every single part of the country.

I didn't say the government indoctrinated you. You've been indoctrinated your whole life by it, through your family, friends, pop culture, etc that its the socially acceptable and legal drug. The legality of it is why its in everyone's house and sold on every corner. If you grow up with something around you all your life, something everyone you know and love are probably consuming, which would be inadvertently teaching you to believe its something you should be doing...that might lead to indoctrination. Its up to you if you really want to look into and consider why alcohol, of all drugs, didn't get the stigmas and was made legal and stayed legal above the rest.

Love ya Vic. Hope you're getting some good sleeps.

I don't know. I feel like he should be but I could also see Sully, being Sully, how good the 4th line looked the other night and the fact they've won 2 in a row with that top 6 might prevent it.

Now thinking about it, hopefully sullivan isn't thinking this way. It's not like the pens had the game of their lives that you can't change the lineup.

hahah very true...and I agree about the ice time. Its only game 5 after a very short camp and zero exhibition, hardly anyone is fine tuned yet. Let him get his reps in.

We're about to get a little whopper of a snow storm (40 cm's/15inches+) starting soon, within 2 hours. Its most likely going to cancel my hockey playing this evening and my little boy is with his mom tonight. Ugh. Fvck I wish they were playing Rags this eve, not tomorrow night.

Invite a snow bunny over, get yourself some wine and sing Baby it's Cold Outside. Problem solved.

One little snow bunny is on the other side of the province working this week....and I might feel guilty if I had another one over. Might. I dont know, its very early. Been going through the motions of this in my mind all morning haha and Tinder is so alive and well in these parts... what to do, what to do...

The far leftists in this country almost had Baby Its Cold Outside banned by radio stations because of the lyrics. Actually it was banned but then there was enough uproar that the decision was reversed. I'm not a fan of cancel culture.

Hahahah I totally used those tonight! The best value ever! It's better than $25 a bottle for Luxardo.

Have you had Horse Soldier bourbon yet? That’s become one of my favorites with 1792 and Four Roses.

What’s the snowboarding like in your neck of the woods? I’m going to Vail and Breckinridge next month so I’m pretty stoked.

Marble Mountain is on the other side of the island, about a 6 to 7 hour drive from here, and is really good. That's the only really big ski hill in the province. There are few smaller places and then there's a whole lot of back country. So much land and very little people. The whole west coast generally gets a lot of snow, more than the east here, but its been a really weird year so far. We're getting this big storm today and the west coast is only getting 5cms. I don't even think Marble is open yet. They usually open in December or early January. It was sunny and 10 degrees (about 50F) almost every day all through Christmas, for two weeks

Now snowmobiling... We have some of the best in the world. So many trails and places suited for it.

I bet that back country boarding is sick. There’s times I wish I lived somewhere like that but then I wake up in Florida and I’m like nah I’m good with the beach and fishing lol. I’ll just visit where it’s cold if I want to.

Oh it is nuts. You take your skidoo to these places with your board strapped on.

Yeah I get that wanting the warmth and sun, for the most part I do too. I do however also absolutely love snow storms and doing all kinds of snow activities, ice fishing among them.
