I love when you guys act light a high school clique and go bananas on anyone that disagrees with u... is the "Pack" back.. you remember the pack. the guys who said are whole team was garbage and everyone Snow drafted stunk.. .anyone else was a koolaid guy... lol.

I never said they wouldn't sign Barzal before the season started. I said OVER and OVER and OVER again that you can't use LTIR to get below the cap before the season. I alluded to the fact that MANY players had contracts agreed to but haven't signed b/c of that reason. Which is pretty much what Barzal said the other day... "I was skating the whole time just not with the team while they worked cap stuff out..."

They did not want to waive a bunch of guys to be cap compliant if they didn't have to.. they were trying to move contracts like Leo, Hickey, etc. but couldn't.. so they waived a bunch of guys ... leo, Ladd, Hickey, etc.

JGP won the ping pong Tournament in the bubble last year. His shot yesterday that scored was very Ping Pong-ish.

It would be awesome to see Wahlstrom and Bellows on that line. Obvious concern with the defensive aspect of the game not withstanding and I’m sure that’s trotz’s hesitation understandably. Johnston doesn’t bring much and he’s a redundant player on this team imo. His presence would make more sense if we didn’t resign Martin.

Another line of BS. Barzal said," while they work the particulars of the deal out." Never once did he say Cap. The story you told about the Islanders and Barzal having a deal but couldn't sign him until the first day of the season was priceless, creative but absolute BS.
You were wrong and don't have the balls to admit it. Again you asked Me," if the Islanders sign Barzal on the first day of the season will I admit you were right". Well they signed him before the season and you are still right in your own mind. Please go away, go play some broom hockey with your " College Hockey Player Friend" You're a joke.

Johnston needs to sit imo. Give the kid a shot against the Devils. Don't need Leo on the PK so no reason to slide his a55 in the lineup.

I’m assuming he’ll probably put Wahlstrom in and pull Bellows out. Hopefully I’m wrong about that but just seems like something trotz would do. Bellows deserves to stay in he has been good in his own end, neutral zone, been physical, and has played a decent all around game so far.

Bellows has been physical for sure and he played well in the first game but to me fell off the next two games and really wasn't a factor in the limited ice time he had. I hope he gives Wahlstrom a shot with Bellows out there as well. If they don't work out Barry can paste W and B asses to the bench as he did last game and go with 9 forwards if need be in a tight game. Just my opinion but I would like to see what they can do out there together.

I’m with you I would like to see how they do as a unit and I also think Pageau is a good player for them to develop with. The thing with bellows is he seems to be doing exactly what trotz demands of all his players. He has played a defensive game for the most part. Look at Johnston or Kuhnackl these guys have no upside. They dump the puck and play responsibly. That’s all it takes to get on that third line it seems so if we can add one or even better two players that can add even a little offense then we’re all the better for it. With that said they have to be given some time to jell and get acclimated. Johnston does nothing for this team imo the whole, “he protects Barzal” mantra is laughable.

Have to agree. Really need to get that 3rd line going on offense and take the pressure off the top two lines.

Totally get that if we had a Vet available that was making a difference because it isn't Johnston and I don't think Leo gives the line an offensive boost so I'm hoping that Trotz gives the rookies a shot between JGP. Again if they suck sit their asses down and play a 9 forward rotation as he did against Boston.

#Isles Noah Dobson admits it was frustrating not always being in the lineup last season. But, in the long run, he thinks that might have been best thing for his development, the way the coaching staff brought him along.
