It's crazy that the Yotes and Knights play each other 4 times in a row this week haha - MattStrat
People kind of gave me poop for it, but I said a few months back they should consider doing a baseball-like schedule. |

I got creamed in HBSL. Jake, Rust and my Goalies were just a bust. Here's my lineup which is almost identical to the guy I'm up against.
LW: Pac, Kaprizov, Connor, Hoffman (we both have Connor)
C: Draistial, Pettersson, Scheifele, MacKinnon (we have all the same centers)
RW: Stone, Laine, Yamamoto, Svechnikov (we both have Yamamoto and Svech)
D: Pietrangelo, Hamilton, Graves, Makar, Hughes, Dahlin (We both have Dahlin, Hamilton and Makar)
G: Hart and Samsonov (We both have hart)
This one will really come down to the wire.
EDIT: Just found out Laine is D2D. (frank)ing awesome. - Rinosaur
My team this week. Laines of Cocaine is 14th overall in the league after week one...i totally f'd up taking Tatar, Granlund, Connor and Piok this week hahah...thought they had 3 games ...did it in a hurry

Waiting on your plate of Crow with the 3rd line and these "wasted" 700k contracts?
Are you suggesting that large players who HIT (Wilson), put doubt in the heads of defenseman (Marino) when they try to make a play, and that leads to goals?
Ya, That's the idea. Hockey 101, but we need more Conor Shearys according to you
Really large sample size to base this on. Give these guys credit for playing well in games 1-3. But Jankowski's track record-like the other 3rd liners we have--is not encouraging. I would have felt better with some other guys in for the 3rd line--though unlike RW Im done with Sheary...to quote Mike Lange, I've smelled that fish before.
It has been shown that big and hulking is NOT better. Need guys who can skate and play.. It is definitely better if the guys who skate and have skill are also big and can hit. But the GMJR approach--especially on Defense with JJ, Gudbrandson and now Ceci went out the window over a decade ago... |

Bobby Ryan with three goals through two games. I really wanted the Pens to go after him and you watch, they'll get a 2nd for him come the deadline and dollars to donuts Yzerman counted on this.
I was hoping for Kovy-McCann-Ryan third line. |

The more I think about this, unless the plan is to shove ERod out of the lineup and Tanev down the 4th, it doesn't make sense for them to bring in someone like Roslovic. IMO unless they're going for a big gun on the RW, then don't bother.
TIOPS...
If this is true it's even more maddening. 4-5 teams were seriously in on Hornqvist, but basically there was another team willing take nearly all of Horn's contract without having to take an albatross back. For whatever reason JR was dead set on getting Matheson. At least one team was flabbergasted in the direction the Pens decided to go. CBJ, MIN and NJ were seriously in on Hornqvist.
It's TIOPS so obviously take it with a grain of salt, but this also seems very plausible to me.
The other note was at tone point there were discussions of a 1-to-1 swap of McCann for Roslovic, but that fell through. - Rinosaur
Thanks for that. And yes that would be maddening if Horny could have been gone without taking on a crap contract. |

I fully believe they could have. Despite what I thought of him or anyone else who wasn't his biggest fan, I didn't think the Pens would have work too hard to move him with little sweetener. |

It probably doesn't hurt to get him depending on the price, and between him, Kap, Rust and Tanev they'd have a nice rotation of mid-level guys on RW, but to me I think they're better served by getting a stand-out player. Especially if Matheson goes on LTIR.
He's also an RFA. I have no idea what his asking price is going to be. If he is a headache like they're reporting on TIOPS. it may not be easy to sign him. I'm sure they'd work that out before-hand, but do we need another Brassard-type who's going to sulk because of his role? |

No secret. Magic mushrooms, man. One of the drugs I was talking about the other day. Our government just gave green light on them for medical reasons but they're still illegal. Honestly a microdose (half of gram to gram) of them is amazing... You wont get all trippy but you'll get a little gling, maybe some mild visual changes, however your overall attitide and concentration for the days and
days after are amazing....now...if you want alternate reality eat a full fledged dose (2+ grams) ...and they're actually one of the safest drugs on the planet, so no worries of OD.
I know quite a few people micro dosing (or more of) them once or twice a month and swear by them. I'm talking people with families and careers such as lawyers, accountants, trades people, nurses.. I could go on. |

I do not want another Brassard. That situation sucked. It would be nice if Math went LTIR so we can go bigger game hunting. |

They have time and I think they should take their time. See how Kap works out, see if Matheson goes on LTIR because now that Tanev has proved he's top-nine-worthy, they have a different situation on their hands. |

DC just passed a resolution decimalizing natural hallucinogens. Doesn't affect me because as long as something is still a federal crime, those of us with security clearances can't partake, but its a step in the right direction. (frank)ing stupid that someone can get charged with a crime for consuming something that grows in the ground. |

I have two friends who've been on the micro-dose thing for a few years and they've said it's all but eliminated their anxiety, they just feel happier, more positive and less fatigue. |

Yea they can take some time here and see what happens. And true, at this point we really only need to go big is if Kap is a complete bust. |

@penguins
The Penguins have recalled defenseman Kevin Czuczman from the
@WBSPenguins
to the taxi squad.
Sam Lafferty has been assigned to the taxi squad and forwards Anthony Angello and Frederick Gaudreau have been assigned from the taxi squad to WBS.
This is curious. Not the Lafferty part, but the Czuczman part. I assume Lafferty to the taxi squad means Kap draws in tomorrow. |

That's the biggest thing to me. If Kap is a bust with Sid, but good at 3rd RW? Could they then try Tanev with Sid? Could they toggle Kap and Rust? Could Roslovic fit as with Sid? If Kap is a bust then it just makes sense, at least to me, that you go big instead of rotating some middlers with Sid . |
