They’re in the same boat as Edmonton imo. - Hextall271
Edmonton is the worst. Almost Cleveland browns bad. They get the next greatest nhl player and still can't find a way to be relevant. They've traded away so much talent for mediocre returns. You gotta think if the miss the playoffs in the easiest division in hockey this year there could be another blow up and mass firing |

Coots will be missed for sure, but I'm not worried about who will take the responsibility of the team's top lines will be. My concern still is whether other teams try to take advantage of the JvR-Patrick-Voracek matchup. - Glak18
Patrick actually played quite well in game 2.
From the Athletic:
Patrick didn’t light up the scoresheet, finishing with a single assist on Konecny’s second goal. But he was one of the few Flyers players who didn’t get crushed territorially at even strength (55.24 percent Corsi for), and more importantly, he held up physically despite receiving the third-most minutes among Flyers forwards. Vigneault didn’t hesitate to give Patrick 3:36 more than he did in Game 1, and the head coach liked what he saw.

So far the line has been decent, but it's not just Patrick playing on that line, more specifically JvR and Voracek can be taken advantage of more so.

Well all the information is out there to dispute what your saying. Hagg doesn't pass the eye test and he sure as hell doesn't pass the analytical test. Up to you if you want to compare the 2 players. - Striiker
People still use analytics? Is this Tanner?
Yeah I took a shot and missed the net...good for me!!

Im much more worried about the Frost line getting caved. Lindblom will have a lot more on his plate defensively as I believe Buffalo will try to test Frost as much as possible.

We are at home and have last change, I don’t see this being a huge issue. |

Boston's problem is the same its been for the past several years, who scores after the top perfection line? With Pastrnak out it makes it even harder for them to score 5 on 5. - jd250
Krejci, DeBrusk, Coyle. They have some depth. Their issue is going to be on the defense losing Krug and Chara/.

Hopefully we can keep the momentum going here with a win against Sabres. They appear to be a much better team on paper but haven’t found any good results yet. |

Depends on the person I guess. I look at their roster and I see them losing Hall next year unless they pay out a bigger term contract, 2 pro goalies to sign (they do have a decent prospect in Luukkonen for the future), needing to revamp their defense and giving Dahlin a contract that will make him want to buy 3 mansions.
Skinner.....7 years left at 9m
Okposo....3 years left at 6m
Lots of years and cap percentage to play in limited roles or scratch. This isn't like it used to be where teams could spend whatever and it only affected the team profits, a flat cap affects trades, recalls, signings and that percentage of the cap means just as much as how much they are scoring.
The days of "the best players play and that's it" are gone. - Glak18
Omfg. Skinner makes 9 mil???? My lord. For some reason, I wasn’t aware of that. And was skating the 4th line? What a mess that is |

Man,
Buffalo is a cautionary tale about tanking. Ton of high picks that so far have not translated. Big signings thst haven't panned out. Just yikes. - Tfaehner
Well no.
They have the talent now.
They suck at their management and have for a while. |

They have some Of the required talent. McD and draisaitl area great duo but they need more. Their d and goaltending leave a lot to be desired.
Too many times, they traded star players for less. Hall
Straight up for Larson? Some bad luck too. Essentially they do poorly at talent evaluation. Klefbom is good but not a 1d. And it goes on like this. |

trap game, Buf played Bruins hard, Flyers missing Coots and here we go. If the Flyers needed more reason to focus on structure and D coverage losing Coots provides it. |

They’re not in as bad shape as you think, went out and got Hall (even if for one year), and have some promising young guys between cozens, Dahlin, Thompson, and Olfosson - ClaudeFather
Flyers seem to rebuild with long term experienced players still in the line up. Sabers seemed to gut the team and build from scratch. Sabers will have a more painful rebuild but will be doing fine when the youth matures. The problem is if the young guys get impatient and want to leave (Skinner). Other teams have had this problem like the Blue Jackets. |

Flyers put ghost on non roster status and recall Bunny. Not unexpected but doesn't sound good for expecting ghost anytime soon. He must actually have the vid. |
