So Thornton looks fantastic in his last game but because he looked marginal the first two games we shouldn't give the line more games together?

I think he's earned a further look on the top line and I don't see how we're debating his usefulness on it after they literally provided the entirety of our offense in Game 3 with each scoring a goal.

I would like to see a different element added to that line. Marner and Matthews should have the puck most of the time. They need a digger, net presence and someone who could keep other players accountable for the cheep shots. I would like to see Simmonds up there for a game. I have no problem with Jumbo getting a few shifts a game with them( Simmonds 60-70% and Jumbo 30-40%).

I don't care if he's sous vide'd. The line looks good after three games. He's making league minimum or close to it and he gives Keefe the flexibility to actually run three good lines.

But hey, I'm open to everybody's cool ideas. Let's break up the third line and move Hyman back up. That's a proven playoff winner.

I don't think Thornton looked fantastic last game at all. He had a couple decent plays and scored a goal I'll give him that. Again, anyone in the league is going to get the chance to score the odd goal playing with those two.

He was still behind a lot of plays, and still made the odd error which resulted in offense killed and the puck going the other way.

Overall through 3 games he has been slow, inefficient and mistake prone. 🤷‍♂️
