These players are too stupid to realize that going public with this trade demand stuff HURTS their value, and thus makes it HARDER to trade them. Lol - PavohnDatsvares
It's the exact opposite. Players who publically demand trades almost always get traded. Forcing a player to be part of your team when they don't want to be there is never worth the headache.
Its also a bad look for the player, so I highly doubt this is the first time Columbus is learning that he wants out. They're not doing anything about it, so he's forcing their hand. |

Hockey can't afford to let players dictate where they want to play like the players in the NBA do. Let them sit until they accept a trade to any team and play for that team. When they become UFA's they can go anywhere they want. |

Puljujarvi wanted out of Edmonton. Holland refused to give him away. Fine. Go play in Europe for a year. But we own your rights so suck it up and play. Which to his credit is what he's doing now.
By the way, I see this is an E4. So was Barzal wanting a trade to LA and Laine only willing to extend with LA and Anaheim. Neither story was reported anywhere else... |

It seems most people don't have memories that go back longer than a week. The NBA isn't any better or worse about players demanding trades. The vast majority of players going where they want is through free agency. If anything, it's more common in the NHL with their silly college rules. |

Honest question: Are Panarin and PLD truly buddies?
If it was up to PLD, it'd be Montreal. He would love to play there, and he's a perfect fit. New York may be a great choice too, but he isn't demanding to go to the Rangers.
More importantly, who the frank cares where PLD wants to go? You think a team wants to appease their best forward who has basically given your organization the middle finger? He doesn't have to sign an extension this summer either, so the suitors won't even really care where PLD wants to be.
I actually am just hearing today that Bergie has pretty firmly put Kotkaniemi, a first, "a defender and more" on the table but is asking to hold until right before the Habs get their week off in mid February. That way, much of his quarantine to enter Canada isn't an issue. |

Sorry . . . yes, it's gotta start with Suzuki. An NHL-ready center. |
|

Anyone (looking at you Habs) who expects PLD to go for anything less than Suzuki is myopic |

Since we're inventing trade proposals...I wonder if JVR + Ghost could be involved? Also hearing that Gaudreau and Nylander will definitely be on the move before the season starts. |

I have to say this. The NHL must not turn into the nba or nfl where players can dictate what team they are traded to. Respect is earned. Not given. |

He should have bypassed the draft, went to college and signed with them as "free agent"...

Most star players can force a trade if they are willing to absorb pain. Players can afford to be irrational, teams cannot.
Knowing this, players can be rationally irrational. |

This whole article is a trap on the level of Pelosi Echelon DoubleSpeak Skill.
It’s an E4.
It claims PLD wants to be traded and again be Panarin’s line mate (though soon to be released follow up article claims that upon the dynamic duo reuniting Panarin requests a trade out of NYR citing a desire to be “ the man,” Paccioretty could be part of deal to deliver Breadman to Sin City, though Flower will need to be part of the deal e2)
So gauging this, it looks like the opposite of an e4 will
Happen, as it always does, and so, PLD is literally moving his stuff into a $3700/month understair Studio apartment in Brighton Beach |

Send him to the KHL and ask him who he wants to play with there |
|
|
|
What must he do before you will grant him the right to choose where he lives and for whom he works?
At least Hardon has done something. What’s this kid done ? |

That generation is going on at least 40 years now. Maybe look up why Gretzky didn't start his career in the NHL. What team drafted Lindros again? |

Getting taxed to hell in Quebec after escrow & another 10% tacked on is heaven. Idk why there isn’t a mad rush or an outcry for everyone to go to the Habs. |

Losing his amateur status is why & cannot go to the NCAA unless you want him to play CIAU hockey. |
