It’s funny how the actual skilled players who get the poop beat out of them by slugs are “whiners” |

Group B grew up playing on the ODR's.
Group A grew up playing Chel. - Arctic_AARDVARK
Why can't it be both.. Want rules to make it safer for players but also like seeing big hits and some fights.. As long as they are not staged fights? |

I think it is because coaches only want captains, or alternates talking to the refs.. Don't normally see the 4th line guys talk to refs |

Most of the greats complain I guess. They’re the ones who put up with the most crap. |

Mario called the NHL "a garage league" and 99% of the hockey world called him a whiney little beee-yotch.

If you did both, then you're group B.
As long as you learn how to defend yourself, and took many beatings from the kids on the other side of town trying to defend their rink.
Here's the ODR in my hometown.. The roof wasnt on it when i was there, but it was still an awesome place to play

There has always been two groups around here
You have:
Group A: we need rule changes/adjustments, call existing penalties more, etc.
And then there’s:
Group B: HIT THE MOTHER(frank)er BACK! - Dozzer
Group A simply looks at the bigger picture
Group B has tunnel vision and wants to have their testosterone boosted with excitement when they see men get angry at each other, while ignoring the consequences
I guess there isnt a wrong answer here, whatever makes you happy. The NHL is group A though. |

How much of Mario did we miss because of the poop his back took. But hey, let’s beat the crap out of all our stars. |

I never got that just because you were a worse player you were allowed to attach a rope and water ski behind a player. |

Gretz went out with a bad back from getting hit dirty. No big deal. He prolly should not have gone in that corner I guess. |

Lets bring star players down more to the slugs level, that'll make it more fun.

Grats on win 1 but I still do dislike the loser point lol
Btw Mike the copy & paste prospect article lead in is getting monotonous. It should’ve been over with by now. It’s game on.
Moving on to the present...
The big 4 will decide how the season goes. Not liking the slow & old signings nor lines. That said so far albeit early still all teams in the North still have obvious warts that look to be a challenge.
Imo the Jets are underrated & can be the best team in the division. Oilers can be hot & cold. The Flames are not impressive & JG is my whipping boy. Habs will struggle to score still but probably still the better well rounded team. Sens will be spoilers for somebody. My Canucks will be a roller coaster team. Overall the division will be the hardest to find a true contender emerging. Still very early & a division ripe for a team to step up & dominate but I don’t see it.
Lastly it’s great to finally see hockey. |

What you're saying makes absolute sense.
But how many "major rule changes" have the NHL done over the years to protect their star players.
They removed hits to the head... like 15 years ago.

They need to start using a nerf puck |

They have been very slow to react to every new problem they have encountered...They have shown that they usually eventually give in but its after people are talking about it.
They could fix a lot of this by making the schedule 60 games but they wont, so they have to do other stuff. |

Introducing a penalty called “cross checking” would probably ruin the game. |
