The main issue, the king daddy topper as O would say, is the lack of accountability. Dubas let them off the hook with the Babs firing and not setting them straight afterwards. Keefe came in and tried to be their friend, playing music at practice etc.. Now Keefe is pissed, and is quickly finding out that he can’t get through to them. They got paid too much, were coddled by Dubas and it went to their heads. Dubas did them no favours by adding Jumbo and Brodie while parting with two speedy, gritty-ish players in mango and Kap.

They don’t hit, they don’t work along the boards like they need to. They think they can just out skill other teams and that they don’t have to work. It’s gross.

no, just no.

Horrible take.

We’ll give you Nylander and Marincin.
- Tanooki

Actually, I am not so sure we should. Nylander has actually improved a lot and seems to be continuing right where he left off last year.

For 900k....its not an issue
- Fakepartofme

Its also game 2 where he has had no pre season games...give the vet some time.

Muzzin has looked slow out go the gate as well, he will be fine too.

I am not sure where I see one wrong thing in his post... especially the work and winning puck battles. It was startling how different the two teams looked in the Montreal game.

Guys like Zaitsev thrive in a structured environment. The Sens look like they have that now.
- Tanooki

After ONE game? Or did you think he was good last year as well? Or are you going to be honest and admit that you only watch Ottawa games when they played the Leafs and you really don't know if Zaitsev has gotten better?

Sens looked like they played with purpose.

Their players know their roles. They battled more, and played more structured.

You can definitely allow for the older players, but we have seen two teams who have also had almost no camp and they both had guys up and down the lineup working their ass off. Muzzin has actually thrown a few body checks and had a couple scoring chances.

It is too bad he died in that game last year. Imagine how good he could be if he wasn't a zombie.

So yes, after one game. Just wanted to make sure it was clear what you were basing your opinions on.

They will finish last. The Leafs will win the division.

He’s just mad because he thought when Dozzer came back he and the other haters could whine enough and have me banned, and it didn’t play out that way.

Of course I don’t deserve the constant female doging I get. I can’t imagine why anyone would align themselves with Santo, Joel, or Shack.

Looool.

The Sens got dominated for stretches, absolutely dominated.

They went up 5-2 and were still being outshot 15-14 (yes, Fred had allowed 5 goals on 14 shots by that point).

If structure and purpose really means get killed, bury a squeaker, get killed again... You're totally on point.

I think they have a chance of not finishing last. And the Leafs probably won’t finish first.

In fact, I’ll bet you on this.

I think Zaitsev could be a solid bottom pairing guy on a team that plays with structure.

I think the same could be said about any of the supposedly horrible dmen we have. Bogosian looks terrible, but he was just fine when he had a role to play in Tampa and everyone else played their role also. Want to bet Barrie looks a lot better in Edmonton, a team with even less depth and arguably worse goaltending than the Leafs.

Dubas letting them off the hook with hiring Keefe, its a horrible take and shows how strongly biased he is against the Leafs.

It was a coaching change after Babcock got stale that is it. 100% of teams have done the exact same thing.

I don't find any of them unreasonable. I actually agree with them most of the time. There are only a couple people who are ever on the Leafs boards that are a complete waste of time, all the time.

That’s not what I said you feeb.

I said after he fired Babs, he didn’t hold the players accountable too.

Because you're a petulant child who comes in here on the daily to put yourself on a pedestal above all other leaf fans and talk about how they know nothing and you know everything.

And then say a bunch of dumb poop that's completely off point.

Wow, can't imagine why that would get old with anyone. 🤦‍♂️

I'd absolutely keep Nylander at 6.9 over Marner and his kid's shot at 10.8. Assuming major changes needed to be made at some point and one had to go. No question.

Well we saw STL lay an egg last night.

We saw the AVS lay an egg their first game.

I think its way too early in this season to be making judgments. Marner has looked like a train wreck and so have a few others. As I watch around the league I see the same thing with other teams.
