I think my favourite line from McGuire was "And Freddy makes his second great save to keep them in it at 5-3"

Cannot stand him. Only thing better than him was Milbury canned by NBC 😂

This game is making my Leafs boner melt like an ice cream bar, I feel sad.

Yeah

Part of me hopes Ottawa wins again tomorrow. I just want something to change. They play like this way too often.

I find it hard to believe that coaches are so dumb. We get rid of Babcock who puts stupid line combos out and sticks with them, and then we get Joe 41 to Thornton on the first line. We can't win

I wish we would roll:

Nylander Matthews Simmonds
Hyman Tavares Marner
Whatever Whatever Whatever
Whatever Whatever Whatever

We had top lines that worked really well. Marner had his best year playing with Tavares and vice-versa.

Matthews could play with anyone, but Nylander as a shooting threat was better to open up space for Matthews; both could carry. Throw anyone on that wing, whatever, but Nylander on his off wing and Simmonds banging in the corner and the front of the net could work as he's at least able to keep up.

The bottom 6 can be your sandbox. Do whatever, find some combos that work.

Joe is a waste on the top line.

I’ve predicted everywhere the Sens will play a spoilers role all season. Fans don’t have to like it or get their panties bunched either.

I think the problem is 21 million worth of caring about their fashion sense more than their play.

Pretty disappointing. The Leafs looked like the better team earlier in the game, but 4 and a half careless minutes halfway through the second period basically cost them the game. Freddy and the players in front need to be better. They all ran around like headless chickens and he didn't make the saves when he needed to.

Saw the goal highlights no comment.
Cue the defenders to blame all things Freddie.

- Nighthawk

Freddy sucked.

No one is blaming the guy, he just played bad.

Brodie played bad that game, was it his fault? No.

Learn the difference between the sentence “he played bad” to “it was his fault”

I don't think that's going to stick. But he will get his 5 games of fun. They said he would when they signed him right? Its hard to find a way to build this lineup, in my opinion.
It's also not done. There's a lot of bottom 6 toys that can be tinkered. Personally Engvall+Robertson> Spezza+Barabanov. poop like that.

Sure he is horrible on the top line, nowhere near deserving of that position.

But 21 million needs to create their own offense, even a little bit.

Being a consistent pro, not so much.

Only 1 game of 56 but signs of the same problems haven’t improved.
