When your "best" player is not the captain it's a problem.

This team reminds me a lot of when Paccioretty and Subban were on Montreal and all you heard about was how dysfunctional the room was. I am really wondering about the Leafs also.

At some point, someone needs to find the reason for the lack of caresi and get rid of it.

I laughed at Bergevin when he said that the culture needed to change, but there was a lot of truth in that. Teams that have a fraction of the talent the Leafs have outplay them regularly.

I'm not or never really have been a JT fan. Should've we signed him? Maybe. Given him the C, no fu3king way.

It is Matthews team and it was an insult not to give it to him. If anyone, I would of understood Rielly getting over Matthews but no one else.

Also, I would've much rather used the money on Pietrangelo...or a real #1RHD for Rielly and kept Kadri or got another #2C...for around 7M.

JT star or not was not needed. The ripple effect is the big problem. The rebuild was moving along nicely without him. That’s not knock on JT it’s a knock on cap management & dealing with the real problems & needs.

IMO all goals are on the goalie, whether the team sucks front of him or not.

Great goalies make great saves...bottomline. Freddy makes some great saves, occasionally, but he never JUST makes saves consistently. If you know what I mean.
