I somewhat disagree.

Re: talent: Barzal is in a different planet from anyone we have on the forwards corps. He will be better. He underachieved against the Bolts.

And they have pretty good speed.

- PT21

All along you have drastically overrated Barzal. We have a deeper team and better goaltending.

My point was: in the absence of injury/poor play by someone, and given absence of actual playing time to show he has improved, what proof can MF provide to show he is better than he was in early Jan when he did not crack lineup? If he was on Phantoms, and lighting it up, he might play himself in. Now he is dependent on others playing themselves out, one way or the other.

If each of 4 lines click, Frost stays outside, shivering.

- PT21

It's a catch-22, yes.

The first step is getting yourself into position to actually be seen by the brass on the daily, even if it's only practice and around the team facility. Frost has done that.

Now he can only sit back and see how the cookie crumbles. He'll get his chance.

Agreed. He’ll get his chance sooner than you think. The forward depth means we don’t have to rush him. Good times.

Precisely.

I would love to see him get a few looks instead of NAK on the 4th line on an experimental basis, and not on a short leash. Otherwise, he is dependent on injury/poor play from someone to enter.

I dont see why the flyers shouldnt be hyped. They are a deep team thst almost took the Metro last season before the stoppage.

The Flyers held their own VS WSH and PIT last season. Boston took a big hit on D. NYI are going to be the toughest team to play in the division. They are jsrd working and commit to team defense.

If Patrick and Farabee break out, Flyers are going to be a scary team to play

My guess. AV is not shy to sit anyone. He generally plays people who are doing their job. NAK looked good in the first game. He will continue to play as long as he looks good. AV will sit somebody if they slack-off. The older vets get a little longer leash, but not much.

Sanheim and Myers are the top pair.

ES TOI

Myers 18:58
Provy 18:34

Hagg 13:45

It’s been one game. The top pair is whatever pair Provorov is on.

Anyone use Hulu to watch sports? I’m trying the one week free trial and instead of giving me a list of what games are on today, I’m seeing a list for future featured games. Like Sunday Pens/Caps. Not a good sign.

So good to have games back ...Perfect way to end a long week at work.

Right now, it's hard not to be excited by the Flyers.

A great head coach.

Stuck the nail in on Wednesday, it’s time to hammer it home tonight. Get the win! Watching for a goal from Joel.

Let’s go Flyers!

Saw some rumor saying Florida is listening on offers for Barkov as he communicated he doesn’t plan to resign in 21-22. Attractive trade piece, would obviously take a lot but if he hits Free agency...could you imagine having both Couts and Barkov?

I don’t, but the game is on NHL network tonight. Does Hulu have a add-on that includes that, maybe?

Doesn't Hulu also have a live TV package? I was thinking about maybe getting rid of Comcast after they raised prices on a bunch of things.

Yeah, I think it would take too much. Plus with Couturier, Patrick, Hayes and Frost, not to mention Giroux and Laughton, I don’t see the Flyers need. Flyers need to work out re-signing their own RFAs.

Exactly...although if not Ghost, maybe at some point we see Myers with Provy. For now, it’s not a big deal.

I mean hes 25. He is a proven 25/40 guy at minimum. He's on a 5.9 million cap hit for this season and next. Hayes has in the past and can play right wing. And if its me I'd always rather invest down the center and on Defense/ Goalie and let your wings come from within. If you can move out jake somehow in the trade and get jvr taken by Seattle. You're looking at an insane lineup quite frankly. That being said its still highly unlikely.

I have Hulu Live instead of cable. Has everything cable has. Including DVR and guide.

JVR sat in the playoffs....AV has no problem sitting underperforming players, young or old...as we’ll injuries and the inevitable Covid issues. I think the lineup may see a bunch of change going forward. I agree with PT21, I don’t necessarily see a guy on the level of Brazil (today), I see one of the deepest lineups in the entire league.

Isles are all about team play and goaltending, less about talent.

For the Flyers to even have a chance against them this year, they're gonna have to get their team play in the same zip code at least.

They kind of remind me of those good devils teams....on paper you should beat them but it’s easier said then done.

Anyone see the Oilers highlights? McDavid is the fastest in-game skater I've ever seen. He can get going in very few strides. There are fast guys in the league but he does everything fast. Sick.

I do understand. And am pretty sure MF will get his chance along the line.

But that also means that he gets his chance if someone is not doing their job, as you put it, which in hockey usually means team is not doing great, because it is pretty unusual to change lineups when team is doing great. Or someone is injured.

Which means anyone wanting Frost to enter is hoping for poor results of team/injury to someone else. Frost is not a reserve type of guy like Friedman or Bunny. He has star potential upside, or so I learn from you guys. Which makes me think that if he doesn't make the line up by the time AHL starts or thereabouts, whether they wouldn't
just send him down to get some playing time.

Do they have the NBC sports lineups?

I honestly don't know how Comcast gets away with it, decade after decade. I thought Fios would add some competition, but their Internet is worse. I have double-play now, with high speed Internet. It costs me $110 basic. But with taxes and fees, bill is close to $140.

And here is the rub. If I go through the ordeal of that tiresome phone conversation where I refuse innumerable other packages to stay, and choose to downgrade my package to Internet only, then the same Internet speed would cost me about $100. Tack in Hulu+ or even Sling, and I still pay more.

He’s on a different level then I have ever seen speed wise. Incredible goal last night we’re the d man couldn’t have played him any better and still got schooled.
