Kotkaniemi, Poehling & Byron
Also... PLD for Kakko? - obie
Laine for Dubois would make sense. but CLB would still be short a C. and didn't he say he wanted to go to South California? |

Salary doesn't quite work and I'd hate to give up Kotkaniemi but you'd probably have to do it |

Maybe an extended Patrick Laine.
I don't see him liking Columbus anymore than he likes Winnipeg

Kotkaniemi, wasn't impressed with Caulfield, so he walks, and a pick. We're talking Dubois here, not Beliveau. |

Kotkaniemi could end up being a good player. PLD is really good already. Poehling has declined as a prospect for me and Byron is more or less replaceable. PLD, Suzuki, Danault down the middle could make the Habs a contender this year. I'd prefer to give Danault instead of Kotkaniemi and add more futures but if CLB insisted on it I'm not sure I'd be able to say no |

If you have PLD and Suzuki as your top two C you may have a window for 10+ years |

I'd say no... obviously not because of Poehling or Byron but Habs dont have to move, Columbus does... if Danault/Caufield + 1st and other pieces doesn't get it done, the BJs can find a different trade partner |

Weber won't suddently turn into Zach Bogosian in two years.
Look at what Chara did with Boston until he was 42.
Weber can do the same, he just won't play 25 min a game anymore at some point.
And he'll be grossly overpaid to do so.

When exactly did Shea Weber "break down"?
Except maybe the season his ankle did break...

Hains: According to Kypreos...
According to Kypreos, Pierre-Luc Dubois has named Montreal as his preferred destination but the Blue Jackets are asking for a lot to let him go… - Karine Hains
I have no idea of Dubois, but if he’s a franchise player, and wants out.
Have ask him why, and if it’s the coach, he’s the one that needs to be out.. |

while I agree, how old was Chara when he won the cup?
he can play till he is 50 I don't care, but his team doesn't win... |
